Gotta read the guides here to have a basic understanding of the process. Read through the forums, ESCPECIALLY the regional forum for the country that your fiance lives in because you will need to be very careful with your proof of bonafied relationship.

These are good places to start:

Nigeria is difficult to get approval unless you are well prepared. Do your research, obtain as much proof of ongoing relationship as possible and most importantly: :guides:

Good luck.

Lagos is the toughest country to get approved from. They assume every visa is fraud and your petition has to be a level higher than any other place. You need to have pictures with family and friends. Most people need at least two visits to Nigeria covering a total of more than a month in Nigeria before they have a chance of approval, even if you are also Nigerian.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Good information here but let us remember this is 129-F Application and not an interview.

Submitting a 129-F is like ingrediants in making a Cake. You have essentials to make it work. The question is what do I need to obtain my NOA1 and go from there.

Take advantage of the time you are present with your finacee and gather needed forms which will require her Signature for you 129-F Petition.

This will include : A Properly filled out and signed G-325A and signed and dated by her.

A Letter of Intent to Marry Upon Arrival in the US within 90 Days Signed and dated by her.

Pictures of you together and preferably also with family and friends.

A Cover letter explaining how you met, how you fell in love and stay in contact. Some e-mails and copies of letters,

You will also need: A Copy of her birth Certificate (Best Color Copy)

Copies of your Flight Boarding tickets

Motel/Hotel, Car rental, (anything that shows your presense)

A Color Copy of your Passport PAGE TO PAGE - Cover to Cover.

You will need: Your G-325-A properly filled out and signed and dated.

Your Birth Certificate

Your Separate Letter of Intent to Marry within 90 Days of her Arrival in the US Signed and dated.

And of Course. Fill out the 129-F Form and sign and date it. Send a Check with your Petition to US Department of Homeland Security .

Now I'm not saying don't read the guides but this is a big part of it and I think complete but who knows. I had a few beers and might have missed something.

2 things I'm unsure of members: Is the check $340.00 and are Passport Style pictures required to be attached to the G-325-A's ? See, told you I had a beer.

Just thought instead of reading all that ####### for hours. These are the basics

OK I did know the 2 questions/answers I said I was unsure of. Just trying to get other members involved. Never said I knew Everything. Its $340.00 and Passport Style pictures should be attached to each 325 with a simple paperclip.

We all need advice sometimes and I'm no different.

I think you handled it very well...we were almost about to scare him from putting in the application.

yeah so Tunde do what he says and read the guides for any additional info.when you are ready and have the required documents for the initial application, send them in.(confirm how the check shd the addressed to USCIS).

while you wait for their feedback concentrate on building your relationship and use every opportunity to gather proof of genuie relationship like everyone here suggested; pictures of you both doing different things(cool, lively, boring ,) , with family and friends(occasions and events), phone records( use a system that can record both your number for verification), skype etx, yahoo chat, FB, travel itinerarry, boarding passes etc. unti the D-Day( interview)
