HI guys I was wondering, can I get married with my fiance before he gets his SS card? also my fiances I-94 form the top part is lost is that a problem? the bottom part is stapled to his passport. and how can he get work authorization card? he is here and it has been almost two weeks, I am kind of lost and dont know where to go first,,, :help:

He can get his ssn two weeks after poe date whether you're married already or not. The ead must be filed at the same time you're filing the aos or after. I'll say start filling up the aos packet and gathering all the documents required. Congratulations!

Someone can correct me, but I believe it depends on the laws of the State you are getting married in. You will need to go to the nearest County Clerks office (maybe called something else in other states) and check the requirements to buy a marriage license (which allows you then to get married). In many states, yes you do need to have a SSN before you are allowed to get a marriage license.

Search Google "Marriage License New Mexico", or whatever state you are getting married in.

AOS is to get your green card and permission to stay in and work in America. There is a guide on this site, but you need a SSN and to get married first.
