Solomon's Temple = Jews

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I don't see any Palestine. I see Jewish lands and I'm guessing they were full of Jews. So again the Jews were there first, and it was their land. And again the only thing that is going to clear this up once and for all is a good ol fashioned war in a winner take all. Loser shuts up, and to the winner go the spoils.

The pagans were there first.

None of those kingdom existed after 70 a.d. In case you hadn't noticed, the folks that lived there over the millenia since then have more in common ancestor-wise with those ancient kingdoms than do a bunch of European-come-lately usurpers. If the Israelis want their lands back, go take them back from the Germans who stole them during WWII.

At what time is the ownership of the land determined for perpetutity? 70 AD? 1948 AD? 1967 AD? When?

How was that determined?

The justification that the Bible is the reason the Zionists are entitled to Palestine is, ironically, coming from a bunch of so-called atheists.

That was his point - there are none. They only "claim" what belongs to Israel, none of those other countries.

The territory that the Palestinians claim for their state does not belong to Israel. Israel occupies it and colonizes it, but it does so illegally.

And why would Palestinians claim lands for their state in Syria or Lebanon or Egypt ? Their property isn't there - they weren't expelled from those lands.

By the same rationale, Jordan is the occupier too. When was the last time you heard about Jordanian occupation of Palestinian lands?

#1. The Jordanian occupation of the West Bank was considered illegal and condemned by most of the world (including the Arab League and Israel.)

#2. The Jordanian occupation lasted less than 20 years. It did not include expulsions of the native population and confiscation of their property so that Jordanian settlers might colonize the territory. Jordan granted citizenship to Palestinian refugees, which included the right to vote.

#3. The Jordanians officially ceded any claim to the West Bank to the Palestinian people in 1988.

Does anyone see any Muslims and/or Arabs on that map? I don't. So it's simple to say the Muslims stole the land from the Jews. Now if anyone can find a map showing the Muslims/Arabs were there "before the Jews", then go for it.

Your Bible mentions quite a lot of people living in the Land of Canaan before the Hebrews arrived.

They all are Semites. They are all descendants of Abraham. The Jews left. The Palestinians stayed.

There were Jewish communities that remained in Palestine after the Romans expelled the Jews from Jerusalem. Most of the population gradually converted to Christianity in the first few centuries of the Common Era. And, in turn, after Islam arrived in Palestine in the 7th century, most of the population gradually became Muslim.

So the core population of Palestine is descended in part from the ancient Hebrews, as well as all the other groups who ever lived in the area (including the even more ancient Canaanites.)

This is the irony of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict - the average Palestinian carries more "Hebrew blood" in his veins than the average Israeli.

The "outrage" wasn't quite the same. 20 years is a LONG time. I don't recall anyone sending proverbial flotillas trying to break the occupation.

That's probably because the Jordanians weren't expelling the Palestinians from their homes and property, or holding them under siege, or stealing their water, or kidnapping their children in the middle of the night, or dropping white phosphorus on them, etc. etc.

Your first link is to Wikipedia's entry on Black September, which occurred in Jordan in 1970. Your second link is to Wikipedia's entry on Palestinian casualties from 1920 to 2011.

Please explain what either of these have to do with the level of outrage at Jordan for its occupation of the West Bank, and why nobody sent a flotilla.

The Palestinians made trouble in Jordan and tried to off the King of Jordan so they got put in their place. Same thing happened in Lebanon when they started their mischief there and also in Israel. Until they learn to behave proper like and act civil I don't think anyone's going to want them around.
