Ok I have a question about the I-693. We are doing the AOS for my K1 wife. When she left the PI they told her they didn't want to give her the shots since I had been there and she hadn't gotten her period and told her she can get them when she got here. Once she got to the US they found out she was pregnant and the doctor told her she can't get the shots and gave her a letter from his office stating so.

I called the some of the local Civil Surgeons and they said they would sign the I-693 but will still charge $200. My question is if she can't take the shots do I need to even see the CS or can I just send in the DS-3025 with the letter from the doctor saying she can't get the shots yet? Thanks

Keep looking for a civil surgeon that is willing to discuss your situation and give you only what you need, we had trouble finding one also that wasnt more interested in making money than serving our needs, you may be able to get a waiver and yes you need to see a civil surgeon.

Unfortunately yes, in your wife's condition she is going to have to see a CS to get them to sign off on her not being able to have shots due to her pregnancy. She will probably still require screening for TB (if they didn't do it for her K1 medical).

Continue looking for a Civil Surgeon who will do it for less, I would not recommend using a civil Surgeon in the Metropolitan Area; they have the tendency to charge more. I hope you find someone that will do it for less. Keep looking..

For anyone needing to get this done in the Boston Area I highly recommend ‘Healthmasters’ they are conveniently located at 3 New England Executive Park, Burlington (781) 272-4222, (next to the Burlington Mall). Accessible by public transportation, Lowell Transit Authority and MBTA (350 and 351 bus)

Health masters transcribed my wife immunization into the I-693 supplemental for only $40, before finding Healthmasters, I contacted several Civil Surgeon’s in Boston; everyone quoted over $200 just to do the simple administrative work.

My wife was missing the MMR, and influenza healthmasters allowed me to coordinate these shots through my primary care.
