Made an infopass appointment to get stamp in passport only a few weeks away from a year.

Sent response to RFE on 10/10, received a text this morning, to check my status online.

Online status says card production ordered on 10/31. Wait for 30 days for card. None of the status circle was shaded or highlighted though. God is great!

Just for curiosity, did you call USCIS after you sent your package to confirm if they received the package or you just waited? I sent my RFE response almost same date as yours, track the package online and they received it. I was just wondering if you did any follow up calls so yours has already been approved. Anybody who has RFE and already approved may respond please. Any input will be appreciated.

Well, I'm still in the same situation. I called the USCIS office on November 6th, was told to wait 15 days, but was contacted by USCIS itself (via email) on November 7th and was informed that I should hear back within 60 days. Since my case was registered in December of last year, it's looking like my case will have taken a full year by the time I get my renewed card or even notification. It's a little worrisome, but I'm not panicking.

It's impossible to say what will bring about an RFE though. I don't know if it really matters to USCIS how long the process has already taken -- if they see something they believe warrants an RFE, I'm sure they'll issue it regardless.

Can someone help clarify if I need to bring passport sized pictures of myself along with me? My understanding was I would just need to provide my fingerprint and signature. If there is anything else I need to bring please let me know.

Can someone help clarify if I need to bring passport sized pictures of myself along with me? My understanding was I would just need to provide my fingerprint and signature. If there is anything else I need to bring please let me know.

For the biometrics you don`t need to bring pictures. Just have what is stated in your letter.

Got approval letter today on our petition!!! One month after sending the RFE we finally decided to give them a follow up call last Wednesday and today we got the approval letter. Good luck to all those who are still waiting.

I would call the number that pops up when you check your case status on the USCIS website: 1-800-375-5283. There's an automated system, but it's pretty easy to navigate through and get a human. That's what I did a couple of weeks ago, and the clerk was surprisingly receptive (which wasn't my experience when I used to call a few years ago).

Having said that, I'm still waiting on my case, so who knows how effective it will be.
