2/29/12: Appointment for biometrics

08/14/2009: Received NOA2 (147 days after receiving NOA1)

08/19/2009: NOA2 hard copy in mail

08/25/2009: Received confirmation from German embassy

10/05/2009: Visa interview

10/28/2009: Visa issued

11/02/2009: Received Visa FINALLY!!

11/15/2009: Entry of U.S.

11/17/2009: Got married

12/11/2009: Sent I-485 and I-765

12/18/2009: Received NOA's

01/12/2010: Appointment for biometrics (Luckily I called USCIS on this day, otherwise I wouldn't have found out about my appointment. I didn't received any letter even though we had filed electronic AR-11 [change of address] !!)

01/12/2010: Case was transferred to California Service Center

02/09/2010: EAD approved

02/12/2010: Received EAD card

02/16/2010: Applied for SSN

03/09/2010: AOS approved

03/11/2010: Received Green Card!!!

12/10/2011: Sent I-751

12/19/2011: Received NOA

2/29/2012: Appointment for biometrics

9/15/2012: Received NOA

9/24/2012: Received my Green Card!

Hi Nyla,

I am trying to understand if they process i-751 applications based on the Filing Dt of the i-751 OR the GC expiry dt.

As yours was processed quicker than many of the other Dec filers, could you please state the expiry dt of your original 2 yr GC?

I received my approval letter in today's mail! What a relief! (Is funny what stress even the theoretical opportunity they'd reject our marriage could be, given the consequences if they couldn't see reality).

08/14/2009: Received NOA2 (147 days after receiving NOA1)

08/19/2009: NOA2 hard copy in mail

08/25/2009: Received confirmation from German embassy

10/05/2009: Visa interview

10/28/2009: Visa issued

11/02/2009: Received Visa FINALLY!!

11/15/2009: Entry of U.S.

11/17/2009: Got married

12/11/2009: Sent I-485 and I-765

12/18/2009: Received NOA's

01/12/2010: Appointment for biometrics (Luckily I called USCIS on this day, otherwise I wouldn't have found out about my appointment. I didn't received any letter even though we had filed electronic AR-11 [change of address] !!)

01/12/2010: Case was transferred to California Service Center

02/09/2010: EAD approved

02/12/2010: Received EAD card

02/16/2010: Applied for SSN

03/09/2010: AOS approved

03/11/2010: Received Green Card!!!

12/10/2011: Sent I-751

12/19/2011: Received NOA

2/29/2012: Appointment for biometrics

9/15/2012: Received NOA

9/24/2012: Received my Green Card!

I am trying to understand if they process i-751 applications based on the Filing Dt of the i-751 OR the GC expiry dt.

As yours was processed quicker than many of the other Dec filers, could you please state the expiry dt of your original 2 yr GC?

Hi,

My 2-year GC expired on 2/12/12. I think they process it based on filing date. My guess is, it depends whose desk your file ends up on, and how fast/slow the person who is assigned to work on your file is. But it's just a guess. I'm still waiting for my GC and I will let you guys know as soon as I receive it. I've seen some people received it within a week, other people are still waiting. Good luck :)

Rec'd approval letter in mail on 9.12.2012!!!!!! Updating our time line CSC! Just waiting for the GC to arrive.

Moral of the story---- Hang in there if you got an RFE and just send in as much as possible.
