I-751 December filers

I'm so upset as they have asked for a RFE. I sent them everything I could possibly have sent in but they claim it wasn't enough. They want proof of mortgage (em hello, we live in San Francisco), proof of shared credit cards, proof of motor insurance, medical insurance, life insurance, joint assets, financial loans.

We rent our apartment and I included a letter from my landlady as we don't have a lease anymore as we are month to month after the first year. We don't own a car, we have no assets, we've never had a financial loan of any description. My name is on his credit card but they didn't accept any proof of that. We have a shared bank account and I sent in all the proof but they claim I never. I sent them joint medical insurance but they said I never. And to top it all off, I foolishly never kept a copy of the last package I sent in December, grrrrrrrrrrr. I could in theory be applying for my citizenship right now as we've just had our 3 year anniversary but I figure I need to get my 10 year green card first. Honestly, this paperwork sucks.

FYI, you can only apply for citizenship 3 years after AOS approval date. Don't mix it up with 3 year wedding anniversary

Yes, date on NOA letter was 12/23 but the date on the RFE is actually 05/26. Thanks for clearing up the citizenship info!

Hi bop,

I filed in December 2011, too, although my details aren't on the list.

I checked on the USCIS site and it looks like Vermont is running about 10 months behind right now, so we may not hear anything until about October?

I was given until the 18th August to send in my RFE package. Look at the date...I have 10 days to get it done. Why oh why was I born with this 'leave everything to the last minute' gene? At least it's kinda ready to go, I just need to write a header letter and it's done.

Yes, date on NOA letter was 12/23 but the date on the RFE is actually 05/26. Thanks for clearing up the citizenship info!

I am surprised you are having so much trouble with CA being a community property state. You think they would know that assets are jointly owned.
