I-751 December filers

I got an approval letter but was not a I-797. I also got an email saying the USPS had my card and I should get it in 7 days. It came in 5. I just need the i-797 for proof for the bank.

Did anyone get an i-797 approval notice? I have received my card but do not yet have an approval notice and wanted to know if anyone else got one.

I saw a lot of people get their approval letters before their green cards, but in our case we never received a letter, just the card. Congratulations on receiving your card!

December Filers!

It's encouraging to see so many rec'd positive news and I want to start by saying congrats on clearing this phase of the process.

I write tonight feeling a little discouraged because we got an NOA I-797E dated 6/15/2012 with RFE in white in the mail today. 6/15 was the same day I made a telephone inquiry to CSC via the 800 telephone line to check on the status of the app. after lapsing the 6 mos waiting period.

The letter I rec'd came in a small envelope with 3 items inside. 1 blue piece of paper with case number etc. indicating RFE , stapled to a white return envelope with red letters, another white sheet of paper detailing additional supporting documents that could be included to support the case.

At the bottom backside of the paper " attachement to I797"

Other: you provided copies of your 2009 and 2010 joint federal tax returns , however they were redacted and not valid for immigration purposes. Please submit non-redacted copies along with supporting W-2s as mentioned above.

Please help me understand what that means.

I believe I did black out certain personal info .which is what I did when I submitted for previous paperwork.

Does that mean if send the same ones, without that info blanked out it's fine.

Do you guys recommend I take additional time to ordering them straight from IRS? If so, which one do I order...

Everything has been really smooth so far... I just need to keep calm but I'm feeling really discouraged right now... sniff sniff.

I know RFE itself sounds so discouraging, but really if that is the only thing they ask you to submit and YOU ALREADY HAVE A COPY YOU DIDN"T BLACK OUT then you're fine!. They said specifically you submitted redacted tax forms, and since you already have another "unedited" copy run to the post office and mail it to them! No need to order a new copy from IRS.

Sounds like this will be an easy fix! Good luck to you!

) To give you a peace of mind )) Yes, that is all they meant, they are referring to your blacked out portions on your tax returns. Not trying to be a smarta$$, it's just that sometimes when we worry about something we tend to overthink and overcomplicate things. You'll be fine!

It looks like Vermont Center is currently processing August/September filers. Does it mean we (December filers) will start getting approvals by September 2012? At least we have something to look forward to...
