Checked again, no operators between 6:45 and 7:30 pm eastern time today.

yep they take breaks sometime between 11 and after 12noon and then again the in the evenings. I guess that gives the agents some room to breath from our calls  or maybe they are updating their systems then and the agents wnt be able to access and give callers info

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!

Hi. I got my NOA-2 just recently Dec. 16, 2011. What should I do and when is the best time to start calling NVC to get my case number.

Thanks!

Grats on getting your NOA2 last week! kicking.gif

I'd suggest start calling them next week, and continue to call every single day until you get your case number. But be warned, it'll probably be a few weeks until you get it. While you're calling and waiting, start preparing the forms so you save a lot of time afterward.

In Canada, no, you're not interviewed separately. You both go in the room together. And it's only a few questions. No worries.

Thanks Saylin! Can the beneficiary make the call or does it have to be the petitioner? My husband is quite busy with work. I dont think he can call NVC every single day.

The beneficiary can definitely call. My husband (the petitioner) NEVER called NVC. I was the one that was calling every single day :)

I'm the one calling most of the time too, although I tend to have issues understanding some of the operators, despite my English not being bad at all! They speak so fast, repeating the same things over and over again to everyone, that sometimes I'm just like huh?

Hi Sayling,

I requested for supervisor review for my marriage certificate. i called up nvc even today, seems like they did not check yet. When i requested my local government, they issued me another marriage certificate, same as the one i sent to nvc earlier.

So now, do i need for supervisor to check my file, or i can send it again.

If it's under supervisor review, I'd suggest not sending in anything until the review is finished.

I have two petitions pending NVC case number and IIN .

Been calling everyday and checking the toll free number without success.....Any suggestions

Your I-130 was approved at the beginning of December, so it could be any day now. Lately it's been taking 3-4 weeks from the NOA2 to get a case number. Although, since it's the holidays, it might be a bit longer. Just keep calling every single day until you get it. Good luck!

Saylin, we were expedited through USCIS and plan to file for an expedite through NVC. Do you think we could file for the expedite before we get our case number (as in, we know the file must be there bc of the general speed of mail, so hurry up and enter that info to give us a case number), or are we stuck with that 3-4 week wait?

Hmm, I believe they're gonna need the case there and a number assigned. But it wouldn't hurt to try!
