I see we share almost similar timeline. Also try emailing them today and state you mailed them the required package on so and so date and so jjust writing to confirm receipt of the documents and status of your case if any.

Just a note that a few months ago a member emailed them and he did not know his case was already completed....his emailed cause NVC to reopen the file and it cost him another 2 weeks to get another case complete. I cannot remember who it was...maybe ryan?

So, do not email if there is any chance you got a CC

Saylin,

What time i need to call to get a supervisor?

I'm not sure if supervisors are there the entire time as the operators. All you can do is start calling and asking. Good luck.

SAYLIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or anyone else....

I am trying to track my file through dhl.com

the avr says my package left nvc on the 12th

so i tried to track it for egypt and nothing.

I did see 3 packages leaving today the 13th for Cameroon, Haiti and Ethiopia. But none for Egypt.

Can you find my package or tell me how and what is the waybill number?

Or maybe I have to check after 6pm???

Thank you

Hmm, I tried searching for you, but found nothing. Wait until later tonight or tomorrow. I think it takes a bit for it to be posted. Have you confirmed with an operator that your package was indeed shipped out on the 12th?

If I remember right, it's not cause he just emailed them asking about his case. It's cause he emailed his documents to them. Emailing NVC shouldn't delay your case if you're just inquiring on the status of it.

Oh yes you are right. He did email more documents. Do you remember who it was? I cannot find it. I thought he was a Sept NVC filer but I cannot find him.

Yes I confirmed the case being sent to the embassy on the 12th. So, I will try tracking it tonight. Thank you very much for looking for me. I thought I was doing it wrong.

No, I don't believe it was Ryan H. I think it was someone from a non-EP country and then emailed the documents. Let me search for it if I can as it's bothering me now laughing.gif

It was NavyK who emailed the documents after CC

Here is his post

I have a very bad news to share - I messed up totally and am having to send I-864 again - going to USPS Office.

We had sent AOS on 8/3 and since we didn't get any response till 8/13, we send out an email with a copy of the AOS packet. By 8/15 the original AOS was processed and the case was closed on 8/15.

But our inquiry email was processed on 8/16 and they issued a RFE now asking us to send signed I-864 again. I tried to plead with a supervisor but she gave two option - i) she can put up to her highier authority to ignore the email but it will take time (20 business days) and then if they decide that I should send it, then it gets further delayed (20 business days) or ii) I submit I-864 quickly and it will get processed quickly (20 Business days).

The lesson I learned and I want other to be aware is never resend your documents in email.

Aha! Finally found the person! It was Navyk. Here's the thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/326409-completed-case-opened-again-due-to-email/ He emailed the I-864, even though he was from India (a non-EP country). His case was closed but then re-opened when NVC got to his email.

Yeah, some people shorten their signature to have enough room for everything.

But we still found the person at almost the same time laughing.gif

You have a signature that looks up to date. But the timeline is actually in your profile and you can edit your timeline through the profile. It is very easy to do. There is an area that states "Edit my Timeline", you click it and it will let you fill in some dates.

Good Luck

Oh, your signature does not flow to your country portal. So, anyone looking for data will not find it unless you edit your timeline.

Thank you

Salin,

I found my package thru dhl.com. Now I am calmer. Thank you for your help as always!! I sure hope this site pays you for all your time and energy!

Wow. That is a bad lesson to learn!

I don't think I'll email them, as it seems to take them several weeks to reply to emails anyway.

I called the NVC again this morning, I keep getting told that the case is in the building, but the operator has no visibility and to call back 20 working days after it was mailed.

I guess I'm mainly concerned at this point as most people on here seem to be getting Case Complete only a couple of days after submitting DS-230, however ours has taken nearly 2 weeks so far...
