Hah, I pissed off my husband today (well, yesterday, since technically is past midnight) by getting bitchy at him through email but you know what? I got my damn scans. And also glad I didn't bother to wait for the cropped scans he said he'd work on at work.. now to ride his @ss and poke it with pins till he gets the DS260 done.. *sighs*

Holding my nose and jumping off the cliff.. hope I don't hit any rocks in the water.

Go go go. You've been at the NVC stage too long now. Keep bothering him each day about it until he gets it done!

Hi everyone!

As far as I know, no, it's not a holiday in the US today. Just try calling up NVC and see if there's operators available.

I just called and it is closed in respectance to federal holiday blabla. Only avr is available, and it still doesn't recognize my uscis receipt #. We're getting close to a month since NoA2 so I'd like things to start moving soon!

Yeah my husband told me. It's pretty awesome, we don't do that here so this year Christmas and New Year holidays are just wasted!

Just did my daily call to NVC (thank God I'm calling for free from France!)... Talked to an obnoxious guy who said "hopefully" our case number will be assigned by the end of next week :dead:

I also tried to ask him some details about affidavit of support and the need for us to have a joint sponsor or not, but obviously he didn't know what he was talking about.

When I explained him the USC has been living and working in France for 3 years, thus filing foreign income only with the IRS, he kept asking me if he was going to convert his money in € into $... #######

I think I'll let my husband do the calling as long as he's here, cause he usually has a better experience with operators!

Yes, I was glad I was calling NVC for free as well from Canada. Free is good yes.gif

And I wouldn't ask those kind of questions to a NVC operator. They can only answer the basic of questions, like if a case number has been assigned, and even then at times... laughing.gif

Well, this particular operator was not providing much better service than the AVR really

So close! He started the form, but got stymied by the 'all addresses since 16' question, and his mother was out of the house. I have already warned him I will be asking about it when I get home from work tomorrow (which is late, so he should have time to ask and get going on it again). :P
