Double Post. Same Question, Same Answer. Child Support does not go away. You need to pay it off and put it behind you. Also, if the "Minor" is 30 years old now. Whats with that?

We have been fighting alot of years over her leaving state and takeing my child . He is now 30 years of age and he told me his mother was the one that had support people to place a hold on my pass port. I am not to sure she can do that, but if so I have a big problem I am already over seas and I want to travel. So if i go to another country to visit am I going to have a problem.

I don't have a problem. You asked did'nt you. I paid my fair share of Child Support. Less than 2 years ago it was allowed to owe less than $5000.00 in Arrears and the Passport would be OK. They changed the law to $2,500.00 is what I understand.

Remember, you asked and I'm just trying to answer. Good luck

Contact the child support office of the state where you think the attempt to collect is taking place and ask them. We don't know the answers to your question no matter how many times you post it. Or you can try traveling and see what happens.

Thank you all for your help in my question about my passport. Today I call the childsupport office and talked to them about my passport and was told there is no red flag on my passport. I was so happy to hear this. I was very worried I was not going to be able to travel during the holidays.

Again thank you all for your help Biker727us

Your question is answered. Read the link from the department of state website. Travel on a current valid passport is not affected by entry into the database for child support arrearage.

Thank you all for your help on my matter of travel. I think everyone is missing my question. I want to know if I am already out of the U.S.A and I am working in another country can I travel with a revoke passport for childsupport. I have never been told that my pass port was revoked by the support people, only my x-wife. From whay I have read they have to send me notices for payment, before they take action. Also this a arrearage case only and the child is over 30 years of age now. Her and I have been fighting all these years over this matter of support. She left state and never told me were to send to. I hope this clears up csome of the confuse messages I am getting.

Thank You Biker727us

i don't get it.

Ok thank you , but Still want to know can I travel and noone has told me from the child suppot people that is revoked. I have never received any kind of letter. just what mt x tells me

Stop worrying about travel, and send that money to your kids.

'only' $3100 is a lot to a single mom.

Whew! That's great news for you...your kids? Not so much.......

Enjoy your vacation!
