When Californians migrate to other states they tend to have that lost look for the fact they don't know how to handle making all those choices for themselves. They never had to worry about that when they lived in California for the fact the government there did it all for them. In California's state of mind, you can never have enough laws as far as they are concerned.

By your own admission, you have only ever set one single foot inside California. Yet you profess to be all knowing when it comes to any topic concerning California. I guess, seeing as you have been a passenger on a commercial airplane, that qualifies you to lecture about aeronautic engineering and theory.

That is something that I respect about Alaska. They didn't try and go the Medicinal route, they went for pure decriminalization. I don't think I have ever had a happy meal in my life, and I don't think I'll start now. Where I live and work, there are a lot of good alternatives to fast food chains for people who don't have time to always cook. Sad to see how many of those small restaurants get burried by McDonalds and KFC. :/

His comment was about people that LEFT California, so I presume he was referring to them. One would not have to ever go to California to see people that escaped California.

I do not know myself, not many of them make it this far but we have plenty from Boston and New York and yeah, they often have similar reactions. They get raccoons in the attic and wonder who to call at city hall to come and get them out. Then they flip out when the neighbor suggests they SHOOT them...with a GUN!!!!!!!!! They really go batshit crazy when the freakin' moose wander out of the bogs and trample their roses!

At least in California it is not illegal to view Moose from an airplane - an act prohibited by law in the free state of Alaska. Alaskans are also prohibited by law from eating their neighbor's baby or stealing snow from their neighbor to make a snowman. They may steal the snow to build an igloo, however. Free people of Alaska need to have these types of issues written into law. Or in Vermont where all residents - by law - have to bath on Saturday night. It was just too hard a decision for the free people of Vermont to bathe regularly and on what day to take that bath. They're also not permitted to deny the existence of God. Nor shall residents of Vermont whistle under water.

Californians migrated to Washington in waves due to the tech and aerospace industry... Microsoft, Boeing, etc.. and the first thing they did was attempt to change the laws there. Whether it be zoning, the way schools were run, smoking in bars, etc.. they went for it hard and heavy. They sold their crappy little places in California for big bucks and purchased big ####### houses in Washington. They were so intelligent and thoughtful of nature that they built on the mountain sides of the Cascade Mountains so they could be one with nature and still be in driving distance to work. What they didn't figure on was the cougar population feeding on their yuppie rat dogs. So what did they do? They wanted all the cougars in Western Washington relocated to the east of the mountains...either that or for fish and game to shoot them on site. They move into the habitat of cougars and black bears and now they want them exterminated. Whats even better is the yuppie fcks purchased farms for a song when they had the farmers taxed out of business...farms that had been there for well over a hundred years or better and they had the old farm houses remodeled and then stuck wood cut outs of horse, cows and sheep in the pastures..the same pastures that were used to cut hay the Californians mowed weekly with a riding lawn mower. Then they complained about the smell from the dairy farms even though the dairy farms were there before them and nobody held a gun to someones head and forced them to build next to said farms.

Californians would crack me up if I didn't have such a dislike for them and their fcked up commie laws. It's getting bad in Anchorage with the migration of people from Seattle, Portland, and California that moved up here for the office jobs that were made from oil money. The population boomed and now Anchorage has the most anti Alaskan laws in the state. Whats worse is that Anchorage is surrounded by the ocean and mountains so it's down to less than 3% buildable land. So now they have started a mass migration to the Valley (Wasilla, Palmer, Big Lake, etc..) and have built giant ####### gated communities with some homes going over a million bucks. And what did they do? They tried to change the smoking laws this year so that people can't smoke in the bars. It got shot down in the voting but knowing those commie fcks they will try and try again to make people that were there first conform to there messed up commie way of thinking.

Iv'e never heard of any snow man laws...we have sh*tload of snow here. Kids here don't usually build a snow man, they ride snow machines in sub zero temps and hunt. No time for pssy ####### snow mans...that's for fairy's.

As far as moose go, we see them all the time whether flying or not flying. I know it's not allowed to harras the wildlife here with planes, ATV's, etc.. seeing how when some people get drunk it's what they do when their bored. Same with shooting from planes...that's not allowed here either. People used to whack Caribou, Moose, Wolves, etc.. from planes and the locals got p*ssed about it.

Alaska has the largest small plane population in the world per capita. Where I live it's population 2,000 and I can think of a half dozen small plane airports...not paved that are used in the winter (ski's) and in the summer months most people use floats on their planes for landing in the lakes.

Gary, I'm not sure I have made this clear over the years. Burlington has a population of 42,000 people, mostly homogenous, not exactly what you could use as an example from which other cities could copy and adapt. You don't seem to grasp that the difference in metro dynamics of a large city versus Burlington is massive, thus rendering your comparison useless.
