There's a NCAAP, United Negro Fund, Black colleges, etc... but I don't see any "White college funds, any "White advancement organization(s), "White colleges", etc.. I mean can you have your cake and eat it too? Where does it end?

It ends when the playing field is equal. You seriously think that centuries of racial subjugation will be wiped out within 50 years? It will take a lot longer for that to happen.

And there are plenty of colleges that have predominantly white population, same way there are black colleges with a large Black student body. But if you chose to go to a black school, they will not and can not reject your application solely based on your skin color. And for that, you can thank NAACP and other Black organizations who fought for The Civil Rights Act of 1964 ;)

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the president of the US is black not to mention just about every color other than white gets a break on college tuition, and don't even get me started on that bs Affirmative Action. You want to be treated equal, then make it an equal playing field for all Americans.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

The saddest part of your post is that you are being serious. Anyone could start a "white advancement organization". Go ahead if you feel it's necessary. You could also start a "give money to the rich foundation". What else? Food drive for the obese maybe?

These organizations exist when someone feels they are necessary and others support them. You know exactly what would happen if you tried to start a white advancement organization and you know why.

Wouldn't it be better if we didn't have any colleges meant for a single race of people? And what if we did away with organizations that looked out for a single race of people? How about we treat everyone as equal? I mean I understand it might be difficult for some people to fathom that idea, but it would be nice if we all played by the same rules and with the same deck of cards. Crazy idea eh?

Slim, you can remain as ignorant as you want to. Nobody is forcing anyone to like anyone. But when your hatred and bigotry strays beyond the scope of laws, then it becomes a problem. See how that works? You break a law, you face the consequences. I hope this church loses it's tax exempt status.

The church is not violating a "law" it may be violating some tax regulation regarding their tax exempt status. It is not illegal for private organizations to discriminate as long as they do not receive preferential tax status or receive government funds.

ALL churches should lose any tax status by the elimination of income tax and replacement of the income tax with the FAIR TAX which will also apply to churches. Then the government can keep their nose out of church's business.

The churches will have NO income tax to be exempt from and their parishoners will have to income tax to deduct donations from. People can give freely as they choose and the churches can make as much money as they want.

The whole purpose of the existing income tax system is to manipulate people where the law does not allow the government to do so. Separation of church and state? No problem, do what we say or lose you tax status and lose your tax free donations. Seat belts for all? No problem, cut highway funds if you do not do what we say. No need to bother with a "law" just make a regulation with unelected officials and if you do not follow it ...you do not get back the money we confiscated from you.

This nonsense needs to stop so we can have a reliable revenue system so our government can function without all this stupidity.

I realize you may be new to the U.S., but in this country, tax laws actually do have criminal repercussions as well, just ask Wesley Snipes. The rest of your post is just your own personal warped delusions. You should check out the IRS FAQ on tax status of faith based organizations.

Yes that would be great. Let's hope that day comes soon. But again, these organizations wouldn't exist if no one felt a need for them. It's not like somebody just got bored and decided to start an organization for the advancement of colored people.

Treating everyone as equal is a noble sentiment. If the notion was all it took, these organizations would never have existed. Actions speak louder than words. I just cringe at these guys (like the KY pastor) that say "...but I'm not racist". Talk is cheap. He acted like a racist. If he didn't he wouldn't have felt the need to say he's not racist.

Really anyone who ever says "...but I'm not racist" should stop first and examine why they feel the need to say that. If someone says that, they know that something they have done will be perceived as racist. What exactly are they trying to clarify?

And don't forget this one.

The Congressional Black Caucus is an organization representing the black members of the United States Congress. Membership is exclusive to blacks,[1]

And this one is supported in part by tax dollars!

As to their membership:

White membership

Over the years, the question has arisen, "Does the caucus allow only black members?" Pete Stark, D-CA., who is white, tried and failed to join in 1975. In January 2007, Josephine Hearn reported in Politico that white members of Congress were not welcome to join the CBC.[8] Freshman Representative Steve Cohen, D-TN., who is white, pledged to apply for membership during his election campaign to represent his constituency, which is 60% African American. Hearn further reported that although the bylaws of the caucus do not make race a prerequisite for membership, former and current members of the caucus agreed that the group should remain "exclusively black." Rep. William Lacy Clay, Jr., D-MO., the son of Rep. William Lacy Clay Sr., D-MO., a co-founder of the caucus, is quoted as saying, "Mr. Cohen asked for admission, and he got his answer. He's white and the caucus is black. It's time to move on. We have racial policies to pursue and we are pursuing them, as Mr. Cohen has learned. It's an unwritten rule. It's understood."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congressional_Black_Caucus#Funding.

THis church which has rubbed so many people wrong, Seems to be a bit more open than the Congressional Black Caucus for it actually allows Blacks to join, interracial couples can attend too, they just cant join.

NO one seemed to mind the "race-centered" church our PResident held long time membership in.... yet when whites do anything event remotely close to it they are the scourge.

Your arguments are extremely circular.

As is my waistline.

They try to promote Blacks to equalize racial disparity. Same thing with the Negro Fund, they provide Black students with scholarships so that they can be in the same playing field as White or Asian kids. Nothing racist about that. If they start screaming about wanting separate classes and water fountains for Blacks, then there might be in some truth in what you are saying.

So it's OK to discriminate as long as it's "for something good" but you can't discriminate if it's "for something bad."

I get it now.

Please, tell us how you feel about the "n-word" and who is and who is not allowed to use it.

They may not be advocating for separate drinking fountains, but those organizations are darn sure advocating a double standard. If we got rid of "special help" for people of ANY color, racial disparity would disappear in about two generations.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the president of the US is black not to mention just about every color other than white gets a break on college tuition, and don't even get me started on that bs Affirmative Action. Equal... but more equal for some.

So you support the government in "allowing" only what they deem appropriate religions through their use of tax code?

What if you had a group that had no income? How would you suggest the government control them? Many of these small churches in KY don't have much anyway. If they just met in a shed, how would you stop them from believing however they wanted?

Yes that would be great. Let's hope that day comes soon. But again, these organizations wouldn't exist if no one felt a need for them. It's not like somebody just got bored and decided to start an organization for the advancement of colored people.

There is no need for them. Organizations such as the NAACP, UNCF, etc., do nothing but tell colored people that they're inferior to whites and need "extra help." Their existence alone signifies that colored people need help and are incapable of making something of themselves without help.

That is blatantly racist yet nobody will call the kettle black. Because they're not allowed.

If there is no need for them that's good. They have acheived what they set out to do. If there is no need for them, I suspect they will either slowly fade out of existence or be pushed to the margin, just as with any ohter organization that is no longer needed.

FYI, while the UNCF was founded to address the lack of educational opportunities for African Americans, the scholarships they administer are open to anyone.

Even though I was more qualified than the other applicants I still got beat out by "people of color" on some good jobs due to Affirmative Action. Seeing how I didn't get those jobs (even though I had better qualifications), I'm going to have to resort to food stamps, welfare, robbery, selling crack, and pimping out my RUB wife. :(

I see, so discrimination is OK as long as a few people think it's OK for that group to be discriminatory.

So a LARGE - NATION WIDE group can discriminate because some people think it's OK, but when a small local church does it, it's a crime. Yup, got it.

I feel sorry for the father, as it seems that he's about to be the co-sponser for an AOS case (adjusting from a student visa) after his daughter marries the fella.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
