I got two things in the mail today - first, my biometrics appointment letter. I'm set for Jan 17... and second, my bank statement for last month, which tells me that USCIS cashed my check on December 22, 2011. Things are moving along much faster than I expected...

02/06/12......got INETRVIEW email with appointment letter(have to print that out and bring with me on the interview day)

02/28/12.......INTERVIEW with oath on the same day(as long i pass the test afcorse.)

are some of us exempt from biometrics if we are filing under the 3 year rule? had my last biometrics done in December 2010 for removing conditions on GC, its only been 13 months since that.. I am confused

I read on an earlier month's N-400 submission thread that they are good for 15 months. It appears some folks ahead of us in line didn't have to do biometrics. So I think it's possible that since yours are within that 15 month timeframe that you *may* not need to redo your fingerprints.

2008-01-11.....I-130 Sent

2008-04-28.....I-130 Approved

2008-05-02.....NVC Received

2008-08-20.....Case Complete at NVC

2008-10-14.....Interview--221g, asked to present joint sponsor inspite of NVC approval

2008-11-07.....Visa due to arrive. DHL truck delivering visa was robbed, Consulate required us to present I-864s and DS-230 again, had to get a new passport and other related documents

2008-11-14.....Presented all new documents in person at Consulate, visa printed same day

2008-11-25.....POE Atlanta

2008-12-26.....Green Card and 2nd Welcome Letter arrive

2010-09-02.....Date of NOA ROC 1-751

2010-12-13.....Approval of ROC

2011-01-12.....10 year Permanent Resident card arrived

2011-12-20.....N-400 Application mailed

I did mine on Jan 30 2011, but I had to do againg for N 400!!!

12/03/11 - Sending out N400 package

12/05/11 - Received by USCIS

12/19/11 - NOA date

12/22/11 - Fingerprint done(walkin)

02/02/12. - interview letter arrived

03/07/12. - interview passed

03/16/12 - Oath ceremony (USC)

I 130 for parents;

03/20/2012 sent I 130 for both parents

03/21/2012. Package delivered

03/27/2012 received both NOA1

06/22/2012 both I 130 Approved

07/09/2012 NVC received both cases

07/25/2012 received case# and IIN

07/30/2012. Paid AOS fee

08/03/2012 IV fee Paid

08/08/2012 IV package delivered

08/12/2012 case completed

11/13/2012 Interview Date

Yeah, I think it's best for us to just plan on having to do them. And then if we get news that we don't have to, it'll be a happy surprise.

December 21,2011 - Mail my N-400 Application ( but according to my NOA they received the application Dec.27,2011)

December 28,2011 - Notice Date

January 6,2012 - Got a text message...went online to check and it says they mail me an appointment for fingerprints

Hello All.

Newbie here. Name's Ravi.

I have been in the US legally since 1993 as a student, employee and now on my Green Card by marriage to a US Citizen. I took the leap last week on my citizenship. Filed on 12/27. Received 12/28. Check cashed 1/3. Got my notice on 1/6.

I filed a G-1145 as well but never received any electronic notice and I could not get an image of my check on my bank's website so I've been watching the mailbox a lot the last couple days.

Anyways, just saying hello, and thanks. I was able to get some good info on this site.

That's interesting.. I had my biometrics done last year, Feb 10 I believe, hopefully I can skip that part too and go straight to the interview date :D

02/06/12 - Received yellow letter (pre-interview case file review)

03/13/12 - Placed in line for interview scheduling (3 yr anniversary)

03/17/12 - Received interview letter

04/17/12 - Interview - No decision, application under further review

04/17/12 - Biometrics

04/25/12 - Placed in line for oath scheduling (so I'm approved yay!)

04/27/12 - Received oath ceremony date

05/09/12 - Oath ceremony!!
