JUST went to the USCIS Page to check on the timeline for N-400 in NYC and this is what they have Field Office Processing Dates for New York City NY as of: January 31, 2012 {N-400 Application for Naturalization August 14, 2011 } so they are working with cases now from august 2011!!!!! This ppl Are super Behind Schedule! Jesus Christ!.

JUST went to the USCIS Page to check on the timeline for N-400 in NYC and this is what they have Field Office Processing Dates for New York City NY as of: January 31, 2012 {N-400 Application for Naturalization August 14, 2011 } so they are working with cases now from august 2011!!!!! This ppl Are super Behind Schedule! Jesus Christ!.

Sorry, that looks about right - the last person scheduled for interview in NYC was in early November so it is possible you have another month to wait. Then again, all cases are different so you could be earlier.

Unfortunately lots of people don't fill in and update their timeline which limits the available data.

This month is almost over if I get anything it would be for May the interview I'm thinking. I have not seen many updates from NYC filers in other months most are still waiting.

But seriously if NYC is so Busy they should hire more employees!.

Here is the list of NYC Filers that created timelines.

Someone from November has an interview on April 4th but someone from October is still waiting (or has not updated their timeline).

At least it looks like the oath is only a couple of weeks after interview for most people.

Husband passed his interview last friday :)

I went with and we spent about 30 min. in the waiting room waiting for him to be called. The interview itself only took about 15 min. He said the whole thing was pretty casual and that the IO even cracked a few jokes. He said she had our file on her desk with both our pictures on top. I am guessing it was going all the way back to the K1 as he said it looked like a stack of dictionaries.

The IO did ask about selective service and he said it seemed like she wasn't satisfied and then said "oh! 26" I was thinking you had to be "28" and then moved on. He had his I94 and old passport ready to go but she never asked for it or any other papers.

For the civil exam he was asked:

What is an amendment?

Who vetoes bills?

What does the constitution do?

What happened on Sept. 11, 2001?

Who is the commander in chief?

What is the capital of your state?

She also asked him to write the sentence "The White House is in Washington D.C."

And that was all. Nice job pangga nako! Now we'll just wait on the oath ceremony letter. :D

STAGE 1 - Applying for K1 (15 September 2003) to K1 Approval (13 July 2004) - 9 months, 29 days (303 days)

STAGE 2A - Arriving in US (4 Nov 2004) to AOS Application (16 April 2005) - 5 months, 13 days (164 days)

STAGE 2B - Applying for AOS to GC Approval - 9 months, 4 days (279 days)

STAGE 3 - Lifting Conditions. Filing (19 Dec 2007) to Approval (December 11 2008)

STAGE 4 - CITIZENSHIP (filing under 5-year rule - residency start date on green card Jan 11th, 2006)

*N400 filed December 15, 2011

*Interview March 12, 2012

*Oath Ceremony March 23, 2012.

I just updated my timeline. I was living in CA when i filed N400 and now living in CO and is placed for interview on April 25, 2012.

12/27/2011: Mailed N-400 package via Priority mail with delivery confirmation

12/29/2011: Package Delivered to Arizona Lockbox

01/04/2012: Check cashed

01/10/2012: NOA date

01/23/2012: Biometrics done in CA

02/01/2012: Moved to state of CO

03/19/2012: Letter for interview is received

04/25/2012: Interview in Denver CO @7:45am

Ok so my sister got an email on wednesday the 21 that she is now schedule for oath ceremony and that they send her a letter with the info but she hasn't received it as it and usually it only takes three days for her to received a mail from USCIS so she wants to know if that's normal ?

Woohoo!!! Finally, received the oath letter today. It was driving me nuts we're on queue for almost two weeks and the letter just popped in the mail today. I was so excited, I couldn't get to open the envelope!!!

What a journey! We received the biometrics letter Christmas eve, scheduled a few days after New Year's, received the interview letter a few days before my birthday, had the interview 2 days after Valentine's Day and received the oath letter 2 days before hubby's bday! And the oath is scheduled a few days after Easter.... sure great for remembering in the future!!! 2 more weeks... it's great to see the finish line, finally! :)
