2008-01-11.....I-130 Sent

2008-04-28.....I-130 Approved

2008-05-02.....NVC Received

2008-08-20.....Case Complete at NVC

2008-10-14.....Interview--221g, asked to present joint sponsor inspite of NVC approval

2008-11-07.....Visa due to arrive. DHL truck delivering visa was robbed, Consulate required us to present I-864s and DS-230 again, had to get a new passport and other related documents

2008-11-14.....Presented all new documents in person at Consulate, visa printed same day

2008-11-25.....POE Atlanta

2008-12-26.....Green Card and 2nd Welcome Letter arrive

2010-09-02.....Date of NOA ROC 1-751

2010-12-13.....Approval of ROC

2011-01-12.....10 year Permanent Resident card arrived

2011-12-20.....N-400 Application mailed

2011-12-29.....NOA

2012-02-02.....Walk-in biometrics (appt was for 2/16)

2012-04-17.....Interview

Had my interview at Ft Lauderdale today and it was a carbon copy of Moonys... got there at 9.30, the appointment time was 10 and they called me back at 10.30(ish). The interview took ten minutes tops. The lady who interviewed me seemed to have no interest in me whatsoever and a robot could have done the interview, but at least it was painless! She didn't want to see any paperwork except my greencard and the interview letter (she told me to put the rest of my packet of stuff away unseen), and the only real question she had for me was who supports me financially (since I had no employment history on the form, and none to give her now. I'm 'working' six days a week between our church and the local library and local cat shelter, but nothing you get paid for...) Anyway, the answer to that is my husband, of course. We have one of those old-fashioned marriages where what's mine is yours and all that. Not that I said that to her, I just told her that my husband did... she made a little note on the form and passed me on to the next question, and in the end she told me I was approved. On the way out the door I tried to get an idea when the citizenship ceremony would be but she said she had no idea and I'd get the letter in the mail. All she'd tell me is that they do them a couple of time a month.

Actual civics questions. She asked the Governor of our state, name two American holidays, where is the Statue of Liberty, and I can't remember the other questions but they were easy ones.

04/17/12 - Interview - No decision, application under further review

04/17/12 - Biometrics

04/25/12 - Placed in line for oath scheduling (so I'm approved yay!)

Finally the Interview letter arrived today.... Phewwwwwwww

Scheduled for interview on April 17 2012.

Now time to study and schedule PTO because the letter states that it will take 2 hours... Wish I didn't have to loose half vacation day... Well it's okay I guess... ;)

Someone in november filers told me that NYC takes usually 2-3 months after u are in line for interview.. I hope is not the case!

You can check the vj timelines to try and get an idea of how long you will have to wait

Well, today is my 3 year anniversary and..... at 7:15 am this morning:

On March 13, 2012, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling.

Yeah, I also start to think this isn't coincidence but probably something new that they don't go ahead until the 3 year anniversary, seeing it happened to so many of us here now.

Cool! I was Place in line for interview on my 3rd year anniversary too/.. now waiting for the dam letter!
