Letter just arrived. Fingerprints appointment is scheduled for 2/16.

2007-11-10.....Marriage in Ecuador

2008-01-11.....I-130 Sent

2008-04-28.....I-130 Approved

2008-05-02.....NVC Received

2008-08-20.....Case Complete at NVC

2008-10-14.....Interview--221g, asked to present joint sponsor inspite of NVC approval

2008-11-07.....Visa due to arrive. DHL truck delivering visa was robbed, Consulate required us to present I-864s and DS-230 again, had to get a new passport and other related documents

2008-11-14.....Presented all new documents in person at Consulate, visa printed same day

2008-11-25.....POE Atlanta

2008-12-26.....Green Card and 2nd Welcome Letter arrive

2010-09-02.....Date of NOA ROC 1-751

2010-12-13.....Approval of ROC

2011-01-12.....10 year Permanent Resident card arrived

2011-12-20.....N-400 Application mailed

2011-12-29.....NOA

2012-02-02.....Walk-in biometrics (appt was for 2/16)

Still no news for me. I would even be happy with an RFE but not hearing anything makes me crazy, kind of scared my file fell behind the fridge or something or something is wrong with the background checks (which is a possibility because of my past in my old country).

At the other hand, there is still that possibility that I don't need to do fingerprinting as it was done in February last year, and perhaps they are just waiting with everything until they can actually schedule me for an interview in March or so since I cannot become citizen before March anyways.

Either way, whatever the reason, not hearing anything from them and no updates really makes me worry :'(

I don't think that there is any thing to worry about, since you had your biometric last yr, then there's no point in them sending you again.

And if you look at the time line the interviews are scheduled 3-4 weeks after biometric and thats about 6-7 weeks after receiving NOA Receipt notice.I think that you will not be required to take biometric again so, you are still on schedule for the interview.

Patience is a virture so hang in there. Shaq.

I agree with Shaq (although I know it doesn't make you any less nervous) that there isn't any reason to worry yet, especially since your biometrics was less than a year ago. You probably are just getting to skip that step.

I'll try not to worry myself too much for another month haha (that is a couple of weeks extra, and yes, easier said than done, but I never looked at it this way and it does give some me some perspective). Thanks guys, that does actually make a lot of sense. I'll try not to worry myself too much for another month haha (yes, easier said than done, but I never looked at it this way and it does give some me some perspective). But if I haven't heard anything yet by early March, I think I'm going to make a phone call lol :)

That's one of the reasons I'm so ready to be done with USCIS. No more anxiously checking the mailbox to see if today is the day for some notice to arrive!

But I will say waiting this time around is easier. As opposed to the CR-1 visa, at least now we get to wait together instead of being 3000 miles apart.

Yeah, the wait should be easier. It was easier during AOS and ROC for me indeed because, like you said, we were not apart from each other. However, there is something else that makes me a bit nervous at the moment :)
