HI

actually i iam very tensed right now bcoz i sended my N-400 on 15th dec 2011.it was recieved on 19th dec 2011.my check was cashed on 22nd dec.

till today i havenot recieved my noa. i called 1800 no. to get my reciept no. which i got .

when i checked it online it said RFE sended on 6th jan. but till today i havenot recieved it.

i didnot recieved any mail. i checked post office also but they dont have any.

what should i do? plz help me

Just a note - I went and had my biometrics done at the Oakland Park service center today as scheduled and it took all of ten minutes! There were only three people ahead of me in line and three behind me by the time I was done, so the longest part of the procedure was sitting down and filling my info in on the clipboard. It sure was a change from going out to the overcrowded Sunrise office five years ago! Now to wait for my Interview letter...

Glad it went so smoothly.

2008-11-07.....Visa due to arrive. DHL truck delivering visa was robbed, Consulate required us to present I-864s and DS-230 again, had to get a new passport and other related documents

2008-11-14.....Presented all new documents in person at Consulate, visa printed same day

2008-11-25.....POE Atlanta

2008-12-26.....Green Card and 2nd Welcome Letter arrive

2010-09-02.....Date of NOA ROC 1-751

2010-12-13.....Approval of ROC

2011-01-12.....10 year Permanent Resident card arrived

You can call USCIS to see what they can tell you, other than that I think you cannot do much more than wait. However, bear in mind that USPS is still kind of recovering from the holidays where they missed a lot of days and, of course, yesterday when there was no mail delivery either. I wish you the best of luck and hopefully you will receive it soon and be able to resolve the issue easily.

I randomly checked our receipt number online this weekend and they said they had sent the letter. Low and behold there it was in the mail today. I bet yours will show up in the next few days as well. :)

So far no change online yet but that's ok, we'll try to be patient haha. I'm just a bit scared because there is an issue from 12 or 13 years ago or so that might hold me back, we'll see :)

I went to local office for my fingerprint letter. they gave me new date 02/13/2012.

can i do it before that.i have to go out of counry during that period.

I have no personal experience but I have read a couple of times that people sometimes go earlier and without mentioning the people over there that they came earlier. They didn't say anything and were allowed to do it earlier. I guess it's worth a shot if you have to leave. Either that or reschedule, I suppose.

i did my finerprint today.they didnot asked me anything,just let me in without any problem.

thanks to all 4 ur help, now i am little tensed free.

actually i didnot change my address in uscis. does it effect

when i got my greencard my address was different and now when i applied for n-400 its different

do they send letter to old address or to the adress which i filled in n-400

I 'think' they will send it to the address you used on your N400 (they also send you the NOA and BIO, right?), but the thing I wonder about is if you will get questions during your interview regarding the fact that you didn't update your address with them. Usually you should always register your current address with USCIS for as long as you are an immigrant.

Hey guys, can someone update my info? I received a letter saying my biomethrics is on 01/30/2012 but I did it today on 01/20/2012.

So is it true the Washington DC field office is slow? How long does it usually take from here? Thanks

Yes, I hear that DC is very slow. One filer, Arlington on here, sent their stuff in in July and they have their interview at the end of this month.
