Since interviews are very embassy specific I would suggest you find your way into the Philippines Regional Forum and read-up on the interview in Manila there.

You will find a mountain of useful information...

My wife's interview is in about 12 hours. She is bringing the following:

  • One complete copy of every packet we have submitted thus far.
  • Original documents: her birth certificate, her passport, her ID, our marriage license.
  • Copied documents: my birth certificate, my passport.
  • Sealed medical envelope.
  • Relationship timeline, describing all milestones and visits in our relationship, with dates and references to the photo evidence.
  • Photo evidence:
    • ~30 photographs of both of us, spread across our relationship, each dated and described.
    • The smaller of our wedding albums.

    [*]Communication evidence:

    • Phone card order history and call records.
    • Facebook interaction.
    • History of our shared blog.
    • A selection of emails.

We went through every document together, reviewed everything that has been submitted so far, reviewed every picture and every item listed in our timeline. On top of all those documents we put a sheet that lists which packet contains which important document, so if she's asked for tax transcripts she won't have to fumble through folders looking for the right one.

We reviewed all possible questions that the interviewer might ask. This site has a list of 95 questions (we skipped all the obviously China-specific ones, but the rest are good for everyone). We went through a lot of the "removal of conditions" interview questions too, just for good measure. Finally we practiced questions specific to our case; for example, why does page such-and-such of form XYZ say this-and-that?

We practiced questions off-and-on for two weeks, and my wife practiced providing as much detail as possible and referencing the evidence she's bringing.
