Hi all, first I'd just like to say how great this forum is. It has been an indispensable source of information for me. So thankyou.

And now to my problem,

I am a UK citizen and my fiancee is in the US, we are currently in the process of preparing to file the i-129f for me to join her there.

I have just recently returned from visiting her in the US and we have now found out she has fallen pregnant.

As far as I can make out this does not affect the application process, but is this something we should declare or make a statement of on the i-129f?

Any help is very much appreciated at this stressful time.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Adriene,

At present unless we find another doctor, the earliest appointment she can get is 2nd January 2012, if we can't find one, would you say it is worth delaying the i-129f for another month, or just get it sent, obviously with a baby on the way timing is critical. :)

"fell pregnant"????????

Pregnancy has no effect on the process whatsoever. If the baby is born before your visa interview it will add +1 to the family size for the affidavit of support

the cause of pregnancy has been pretty well documented, you could even call it "settled science" and it never involves falling. Google "conception" in case you do not know which of the things you did while visiting caused the pregnancy

Thanks Adriene,

the baby has nothing to do with the I-129f. Send it when you have what you need for it.

Thankyou for your reply guys,

I am well aware of how my fiancee conceived thankyou. "Fell Pregnant" is just a turn a phrase used here in the UK, I did not mean it to cause any offense. Unless you would rather I gave a full and frank description of how it happened ;)

No offense was taken, that was American humor. You can see it on the Telly.

Full and Frank descriptions go in "off topic"

Seriously, the government does not give a rat's @ss about your upcoming litter (also a term used in Britian) and they will process your petition and visa application the same as any other, any "critical" timing issues are your problem, not theirs. They are not going to put that baby in their basket, so to speak.

But you are grown ups, you are getting married and making babies (not necessarily in that order) and you will handle it like grown ups. I believe in you!

Good luck.

Erm... "Litter"? Not so much a polite term used in England, at least as far as my husband is concerned. lol

Good luck with your 129F. The sooner the filing, the better, really, IMO. Don't wait for a doctor's statement.
