right now, it's looking pretty slow, though, if you look at the processing times (link above in menu).

I also did a bit of comparing using the data made available here and especially if you're using the CSC, it seems like you should seriously consider the K3. Here's a link to my thread where I cite VJ's data:

These are statistics based on a very very finite set of people in a particular situation, so it's not universally true and since it's the average, there will be people (perhaps yourself) that will take a much shorter amount of time to process. However, after looking at the difference in times and a little bit of advice (in the thread), i went ahead and sent our K3 (just today, actually) so that I can try to get her here with me so we'll not have to wait so long to be together. Do a little bit of research on your particular situation and determine what's right for you. :) The K3 is another $170 but I can afford that and my sweetie is defintely worth it. :blush:

We stopped pursuit of CR-1 to pursue K3/AOS. For us, both required the same document, we could only have one valid copy, and the K3 was moving faster.

06 Oct 2006 - Arrives in the USA! Finally home together. :)

TIMELINE (Married 9 yrs)

Aug 18, 2005 - Mailed I-130 (wife & kids') to VSC

Aug 29, 2005 - NOA-1 for I-130's received

Sep 13, 2005 - I-130's approved, petition forwarded to NVC

Oct 10, 2005 - I-864 Bill received by agent

Oct 12, 2005 - Paid I-864 Bill by Postal Money Order-$70 for whole family

Dec 17, 2005- checklist for I-864 received, reply sent back & entered into system on Dec 22.

Oct 20, 2005 - Alien spouse received DS-3032 (Choice of Agent) documents

Oct 24,2005 - DS-3032 sent to NVC (fr Phils)

Nov 17, 2005 - IV Fee Bill paid by Money Order & sent

Jan 3, 2006 - Mailed DS-230 to NVC

Jan 4, 2006 - DS-230 entered into system

Jan 12, 2006 - CASE COMPLETED, and still waiting!!!

Aug 3, 2006- schedule of interview at US Embassy-Manila. Won't be showing up.

K3/K4

Aug 30, 2005 - Mailed I-129F to Chicago(wife's)

Sep 10, 2005 - NOA-1 for I-129F

Oct 19, 2005 - I-129F Approved (email notice), received mail Oct. 28

Nov 2, 2005- Received K3 approval notice

Mar 24, 2006 - K3 interview

Apr 4, 2006 - Visas in hand

May 8, 2006 - arrived in America

AOS

August 2006 - mailed I-485 forms

September 2006 - Biometrics done

December 2006 - Interview; Green Card received by mail a week later

2007: Applied for kids' certificate of citizenship, got the certificates in June & passports in August 2007

Im a cr-1 nutcase :lol: and my case was completed l;ast oct. 12,2005 and i think i well have april interview waiting and hoping have to call thm soon. gues its like 6 months of waiting for interview,,, plus the rfe u well get if any at nvc..hope this help andGOOd luck.. MABUHAY!!!!

Hi all you can call the Dos 1-202-663-1225 and find out if you were scheduled an April Interview..

I did the Timeline Search just for Manila Embassy and March and April Interviews. Start calling DOS for April Interview dates....

NVC Timeline

11/15/2005 - NVC case number assigned

01/04/2006 - NVC completed the case... ( 50 days)

01/11/2006 Case sent to Embassy

01/16/2006 Case deliverd to Embassy as per DHL tracking

February 7th, 2006 Found out Interview date by Calling DOS (202-663-1225)

February 13, 2006 - Packet 4 received

March 21st, 2006 - Medical

March 23rd, 2006 - Interview --- VISA APPROVED

March 24th - Passport received. ( Applicant picked up passport from Courier/delivery service office)

April 7th - Hubby's POE at Chicago.

April 10th - Trip to SSA Local office to apply for Social Security Card.

April 27th - 1st Welcome letter

May 1st - 2nd Welcome letter

May5th - Received Social Security card in mail

May 11th - Received Green Card in mail

196 Days @ USCIS ( 178 for NOA2 + 18 case transfer at NVC)

50 Days @ NVC to complete the case

13 Days @ case transfer at embassy

65 Days @ Embassy

Total -324 days from NOA1 to Visa approval
