NVC Closed October 11, 2011

Waiting waiting waiting pain pain pain. We closed at NVC on October 11th and another married couple closed on 9/26 and received notice of interview date on October 6th for November 29th at the same embassy we will interview at. We still have not received an interview date and was told we would not get a December interview date.

I am confused as to why they do not go ahead an give us an interview date for January or February without making us wait 30 more days and 30 more days.

I am also wondering if they schedule interviews by married couples who close first at NVC or would they schedule a couple that closed a month later before us. I am so confused.

Does anyone have any information on these questions from past experience.

Well, we've filed a K1 and practically in the same boat. NVC sent our case to the Embassy on October 28th and we're still waiting for Packet 4 and an interview date also - so we feel your pain. Our petition expires January 29, 2012 so they better hurry as I believe all of the December appointments have been filled for Mumbai. SIGH So frustrating.

The Consulate has the ability to re-validate the petition if an interview has not yet taken place, you don't need to worry about that expiration date.

Yeah, I figured as much -- just trying to get them to hurry along in my own little world as we're anxious for an interview date already! LOL
