It's not your choice by the way!! Unless you're one of those controlling people, sounds like it..

Doubt any 50,55,60 year old men would want a relationship with your AMERICAN daughter!!

If you're saying his daughter I don't know. If you are saying any American 20-24 year old having a relationship with an older in his 50's man then I disagree. My niece who is starting grad school next year at age now 22 has been dating her former 8th Grade History Teacher who by the way is retired and age 61. It was a bit odd for my sister and brother in law but now he is part of the family. They have similar sense of humors etc and enjoy the deep conversations. Once again. Age is a number. And she dislikes kids so as of now being a parent is not in her dreams ever........ Of course this could change... My oldest sister married a doctor 34 years her elder. Lasted 25 years until he cheated LMAO...... Yep he did.

That you dislike American women simply because of their place of birth (since American women come from several racial and ethnic backgrounds, this decision would obviously have to be about location and/or culture)? You have a stereotype to which you stick, regardless of reality? You are prejudiced against American women? I mean you just dismissed some person's child (real or hypothetical)

not based on anything other than citizenship.

One insulting comment deserves another.. I'm not prejudice to american women, just don't compare them to a filipina woman Totally not comparable.

And remember, I'm married to a filipina in a Philippines forum. Is that a problem?

Wait, wait -- I thought this could all be done without insults? I'm so confuzzled.

So you're not prejudice [sic] against American women, but as a class they can't hold a candle to women from the Philippines? By that reasoning, all American women are inferior simply by dint of being American and not Filipina. That sort of sounds like prejudice to me.

Edit: missing connector.

Let's not go overboard here, I think most older men would be willing to give her daughter a test run.

An american woman can't hold a candle to my wife, but where have I said that previously?

The poster said a 50 year old and 20 year old filipina together that there is no true love, think she said BS.. I'm not 50 and I find that insulting. But I'm not up in arms or mad, just commenting on a bs negative comment.

It is ok to think your wife is amazing, but not because of her race or nationality. That is a little creepy.

Plus, you couldn't hold a candle to my Danish husband, he'd break a smaller woman. ;):P

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You are hilarious and that statement is ridiculous.

We'll start with something simple. So if a woman is 100% of Filipina background, but born in the United States, she is not comparable to a Filipina born in the Philippines?

More complex: if your spouse received citizenship, would she instantly turn into some kind of horrid American *thing* that needed to be traded in more a more exotic version? Because with citizenship, she would be one of those not comparable American women.

Your love of exoticism and prejudicial stripes are showing, sir. If I were a Filipina woman on here, especially one who had a daughter, citizenship, or any plans to move to the US, I would be insulted. I think that would cover just about all of the participants since it is an immigration forum. Gd forbid you have a child, especially a female child, with your wife and she ever find out just how inferior you feel she is.

I'm married to a Jordanian everywhere, not just in a Philippines forum-- since we're sharing.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

You lose your place easily. That's OK. That's why I quoted you and made bold the phrase to which I was responding.

No, you said that American women as a class cannot compare to Filipina women as a class. You did not specifically point to your wife. Now that, I get! You love your wife, and think nobody can compare to her, which is awesome and cool. star_smile.gif

My dude is American, and I don't think any man can compare to him. But not because he's American. I think it because he's funny, bright, motivated, caring, tough, adorable, respectful, etc. None of that comes from being American. It comes from being a good person. I never wanted to get involved with an American when I was younger because I thought they were all cretinous Neanderthals who wore pleated khakis and dug on Ratt and/or the Dave Matthews Band. It just goes to show you that generalisations are usually way off the mark when you drill down to the molecular level. :)

Edit -- bands mysteriously disappeared!

Actually it is him that has the large one. ;). Way to be offensive!

My ex husband was a Filipino-American and my daughter is part, so I will just stick here, thanks.
