Age difference of fiance to fiancee?

Our gap is 20 years. We don't care who it bothers. If you're not a close personal friend or family member your opinion makes no difference to me. (unless you're my boss.)

What I find funny is a butt ugly guy with a very beautiful woman. Of course beauty is a matter of opinion.

I liked the baggage comment, that's what kept me from getting serious with most women in the states my age.

hypocrit - a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, especially one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

Pet Peeve for 2011 - supercilious, contemptuous, arrogant, attitudes.

thank you for sharing that ivyanddan. yes.gif

Thank you for sharing this, Brijo. It is so refreshing to read what you shared. :) I remember you from before when you posted your wife was joining the military.

I never meant to leave the country of my birth, my career and my life as I knew it for almost 3 decades... for another person. I never expected going online that one night would lead me to meet the most amazing person in the world. ;)

You don't ever chose who to fall in love with. It honestly would never matter that much to me if this amazing person turned out to be 20 plus years older.

I have worked all over this great world and this is the ONLY country that has age issues. My wifes dad was 67 and her mother was 24, both filipino's. If that didn't happen I wouldn't have my beautiful wife. Take your american views somewhere else, this is a pI forum!!

There is 22 years difference between my wife and I but states or. PI people say I am young and they can't notice an age gap. And of course, I don't care if people have judgement anyway...

Why should any one care where two consenting adults (regardless of age) find happiness? Age gaps bother you? Then marry someone whom you are comfortable with but like Hank says, if you have a problem with others and how they live in happiness..... there's the rolling doughnut.

Why people bring up the issue is because there's an imbalance where a majority of older men are seeking out younger women. It is disproportionate even among married men when their wife is American. People wonder why. It comes down to economics - these young women are looking for opportunity and financial stability that is harder to achieve in their country. That gives the American men the upperhand in picking what they want - young, pretty, petite.

You say this like it's a bad thing:)

OK, let me be serious then. This attitude (which has been expressed several times in this thread) is even more offensive than the simple "it is wrong and immoral" kind of junk espoused earlier in this thread. Why? Because it pre-supposes that the young woman in question is so desperate (and perhaps lacking in morals) that she would marry only for money, and that the older man is so slimy that he would take advantage of a younger woman whom he knew did not love him, just so he could get sex.

Since the Philippines is a poor country, by definition most girls there are poor. Are they all desperate? Some are perhaps, but most have great character. Doesn't your Filipina?

Frankly the largest number of gold diggers in the world can be found right here in the good ol USA, but that's another issue.

As to financial stability, most women want that. I have rarely heard a woman, American or otherwise say, "My goal is to marry an unemployed bum." Every woman dreams of a man she can respect and who is financially viable. Therefore again by definition any older man who is financially stable (not all older men are) has a distinct advantage over a man who is not - in all cultures. He has as you put it "an upper hand." That's the way it should be, BTW.

The last time anyone had the gall to tell me to my face that my then gf (now fiancee) was only interested in me for my money I told them I knew this was not true and could easily prove why my gf was interested in me. The accuser, an American woman (naturally), asked what's the reason and how could I prove it.

"The reason's simple," I said. "I have an incredibly large Johnson." For whatever reason she didn't ask for proof lol!

If she had two brain cells to rub together, she would have realized that that certainly wouldn't be a reason as it is just plain uncomfortable. ;)

^^ How is that (bolded) any less offensive than what Lincolns Mullet said?

That is a krock!!!! Same all over the world, women are looking to be financially stabile.. The biggest issues I have ever had with women and money is right here in the States.. AndnI have dated all over the world, younger and older. Age has nothing to do with that.

Have you ever lived in the PI? Have you ever worked side by side with the local filipino's? Ever have any very good friends that were filipino? A large majority cheat on their wives and gf's and that is a fact.. The saying goes there, find a women who will be good to you and take care of the famiy and make her your wife. Then get the hot one for your gf.. THAT is why my wife didn't pick a filipino her own age in the PI. She could give a rats as$ about money.. She wan't me to quite my job and live on the beach in her province. And this is when we were living in a pretty nice pad and talking about the states...

If you think the biggest gold diggers are in the Phils, you really need to go to match.com and look about. You start reading on there and you will see very quickly that with the women on there its ALWAYS about the benjamins. They want to see your Dun & Bradstreet before seeing a picture of you, and if you own a motorcycle.... well they don't even....

As for age gap, guess I should keep on topic sometimes. Its a cougar hunt!

Thread banned? Me? :girlwerewolf2xn:
