Guys don't die young from older or younger women; we die earlier from the stress that we receive from either the older or younger women.

Age is doesn't matter to me it just a number. Some say it shameful to have a bf/gf which older to you well i say No..

why do i feel shy or shame if you love that person truly? I'am 23 years old Filipina my boyfriend is 45 white guy and i feel better to be with

him. We know each other, we love each other and more we understand each other. As some people says that were not "fit" or what other term, because he is big and tall were me is small and short. I replied, so what who care its not bout the sizes and the age its about you the both of you. Its not about the people around who gives color to the relationship, it is you and him both of you. Im gladly proudly to say that we are so happy of what we have now in our relationship. I love Shawn and no one can change my feelings to him. Even thought were ocean apart but we can stand our love for any test of time as we have strong faith trust to each other.

I found a lot of filipinas having issues when the guy is younger than the girl in the Philippines.

You have to remember we have different culture so the Americans grow up a little different. While the filipinas are staying with parents and getting help from them, the Americans are already kicked out by 18 and doing their own thing. Going into the military... I am not saying all americans are like that... but we just grow up faster because we are pushed into society.

When I was in the Philippines. I told people I was 27 and they told me I was wayyy too young.

Farsider.....excellent post, and your examples are similar to ours...we are the same in lots of things, different in others, we all are attracted to each other for various reasons, as the old saying goes, 'opposites attract'..being different in some things keeps it interesting, IMO.....there is something magical about love, on how or why we fall in love....it happens, and age, culture, race, distance from each other, can all be overcome by love.

I am very in tuned to feelings and vibes, and I know if someone loves me or not, there is no way that my girl and I do not feel the same towards each other, its real and that's all there is to it.

BTW Farsider, nice ride, can't tell if its a Dyna or Softail because of the bags...Supgerglide? ....Hank...no prob man, hahah.

Softail !

It can be either or or both. Me and my fiance got 29yrs age gap but I am already 28, I got a good paying job in a call center and I reached graduate school in a known State university. I can basically get any guy that I want if I wanted to. I am not ugly even if I am short.

I am just not sure if I want to live in the US or not that's why I took K-1 route. If I didn't like it there, we will go back to the Philippines, so I don't call myself desperate to get the US visa.

I love your post here! :)

Curiosity killed the cat ~

Just the same considerable age differences between a man and wife is nothing new nor something that is directly related to Filipinas either. There is an age old saying that a man should marry a woman half his age + seven years. Okay how many guys just grabbed a calculator?

I did a quick google search and found this:

http://marriage.abou...maydecember.htm

Some people seem to have issue with age differences and for them I have a saying I have always enjoyed - A closed mind is a terrible thing to waste.

I personally was not looking for a much younger wife when I decided to "get back out there", yet destiny had different ideas.

I agree. when my friends started wanting to introduce me to Piany women, I said I will not consider more than a 8 year age gap. Well fate intervened and I ended up with a wife 14 years 11 months younger than me. A bit of a difference but a lot less than many I know.

I had had one experience with a younger woman (20 years difference) here in the U.S. several years ago. She was sweet but I knew for several reasons we would never marry. Frankly I felt a bit guilty, or more accurately I felt that I ought to feel guilty about the age gap. But the relationship helped me get that self-doubt out of my system. Now she is a good friend and a big supporter of my relationship with my fiancee.

So by the time a good friend of mine (who has a delightful Pinay wife) told me I should check out the Philippines for a potential partner I was more ready to have a relationship with a younger woman. But I was not ready for how many Pinays were readily open to relationships with older men. I asked several girls why they would consider a much older man and invariably they had thoughtful answers that most of you have probably heard.

This issue is on my mind a lot recently since I am about to hit the next major milestone. Next week I turn 60. My fiancee says in reality I am younger than she is. But our Avatar pic says different lol!

At 35 years what do we win if we have the largest age gap on this thread?

With the "this thread" qualification you might win, but I think 37 or 39 is the biggest gap I have read about.

. . .While having Thanksgiving dinner at The Drill Shack in Dauin ( South of Dumaguete ) ( stayed at www.liquiddumaguete.com ) with my GalPal we noticed a few guys in 60's - 70's holding babies on their laps while their significant others / wives (20's - 30's) were yakkin. . ..Hey, if it works go for it. . . But, yes, here in the USA lots of folks question our motives. . . Me. . .I was minding my own business on a dive trip in Palau when fate took over & here I am posting on VJ.. . .Our age diff is 25 & she just picked up her Visa 2day!!!!!. . .She will be here end of Feb????. . .

When we married, she was rich - I was poor.

After marriage, she works outside of home, I am a stay at home dad.

I am now her military dependent.

She is 14 years younger than I...money was never an issue.

Hoo-ah? Airborne.

My first trip to Philippines was in 1998. Thought it was quite odd an older man with a young woman. It took me years and years to sucumb to love has no age limits or boundaries.... If it is in your heart then go with it. Let others look and do all the whispering. Amazingly enough the hardest person I had in telling I was marrying Carmela was my oldest son. He and I are very close (he and I have 17 years age difference helps I guess lol). I finally told him over the Holidays. He knew Carmela from my chats the past 16 months since returning from Phils. He and I discussed Love, Alone and Lonely and understanding the differences as I made some bad relationship decisions as did his mother after our divorce. I told him I loved Carmela and would be marrying her in 2013. He said "ah great dad your moving back to the Philippines. This sucks!" I said "nope she is coming here".. He said "cool great congratulations I hope you and her will be very happy" All my nerves for nothing in telling my son... See it all works out folks. Just be honest..

Now let's see here is what most will think is a dysfunctional family. My fiancee will marry me and instantly become mother to two sons 3 and 5 years older than her, two daughter in laws and two grand daughters  How's that for the new wave family. lol 23 years and I love it.. I cannot wait to see the looks as I am a large broad man and she is gumai (did I spell it right?? Well our size differnece will will get some stares  I love it and am proud to have her as my wife..
