I am 14 years older than my fiancee but according to my calculations, the difference between 4 and 1 is 3. So, it's not all that... lol

I think it matters more in terms of age brackets if such exists. A 17 year old and a 22 year old may only have a 5-year gap but your talking about a child and an adult. I didn't see any age requirements anywhere on the I-129F form so I say, don't concern yourself with that minor detail.

To those who filed k-1, what is the average age difference of a fiance to a fiancee? Is it a matter of desperation for such young girls to marry old guys? Is it for love or money?

Age are only in numbers!:D From my opinion I guess it is a self answered question :) Hubby & I have 23yrs age difference yetI love him to death :)Most of applicants do it for love, i believe. :)

My personal observation is that old (divorced) American men, who cannot find women in the States, go after young filipinas who need to get a US visa. The women "love" the men (who are old enough to be their dads), but both parties are basically using each other. The man uses the woman for sex and a for a loyal wife, and the filipina uses the man to get into the US and support her family back home. Why are people so afraid to admit this? I've been to the Philippines 3 times and it is soooo obvious that this is the case. If not, then why don't you ever see young filipinas with older filipino men?

So the age difference is pretty shameful in most cases. I'm marrying a filipina and filed the I-129F back in October. I'm 25 and my fiance is 26. Whenever I'm walking around with my fiance in the Philippines, all the girls stop and stare because they are so shocked that a young white guy is down there with a filipina girl. Again, this is my observation, and everyone knows it's true!

You forgot the fat and balding part.

Yes, you do see younger Filipinas with older Filipinos. Sometimes it is just her father, or an older member of the family. It is not unusual for a desperate young girl to marry an older man of means, anywhere in the world.

They are staring at you because you are different, because you are white.

In my circle of Fil-Am couples, about half of the men are older than their brides, and the other half are close to the same age, and one is actually younger than his wife.
