Hank, you're a wise man, I can tell. I took didn't come on FilipinaHearts looking for a younger woman, not sure if I even put a age bracket on the search....I will say that Diana was the first woman I met on there where I wanted join and become a full member so I could get her email and we could communicate...and never looked back or went back, its been almost 2 years since we met. So it just happened as it did with you guys.

BTW, what kind of bike(s) do you have?

I have been called a wise-"something" many times, but man is usually not the word...

I ride a Yamaha Venture. I have been riding Ventures of one form or another since 1983... guess I am addicted to that V-4 motor.

I just noticed some posters here are automatically in defensive mode about the issue.

People attack an age difference precisely because they want the person they are attacking to get defensive. Once they're on the defensive, they can never recover because the antagonist is going to say "oh look how defensive you are", and keep attacking - in the end hoping to get them extremely emotional and then point out how emotional they are.

It is manipulation 101.

I don't like big gaps in age. For some reason, the couple looks desperate to me. You shouldn't contemplate dating someone that could be your father/daughter. It looks obscene. And I am not even taking future children into account.

Better to be thought an ignorant bigot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

To those who filed k-1, what is the average age difference of a fiance to a fiancee? Is it a matter of desperation for such young girls to marry old guys? Is it for love or money?

we filed K1, but i think there is no difference between a couple married which is Cr1 or filing a fiancee visa.... honey ko is older than me for 23 yrs., he doesnt have lots of money in his pocket.. bank... i am not desperate to come here in US.. i have a good life in the PH... Y i am here in US right now...? it is bcoz honey ko doesnt want to live in the PH...

i am not hypocrite.. some woman marry white guys bcoz they want to come here in US.. they want security.. but who among us doesnt like security?... sometimes woman marry older guys bcoz they doesnt like young guys... as to my previous marriage to a young man it didnt work out... so i preferred to marry an older guy.... but it doesnt mean too that there is no responsible young man... it is just bcoz i fell in love with honey ko... bcoz we have a good chemistry working out our marriage...

our relationship is not base in money.. but for (L) (L) (L)... right now honey ko doesnt earn any money... but still i support him whatever he wants to do... that is love... :luv:

Bigot? Definitely. Ignorant? Not so much. Other than ad hominem attacks, do you have a point to share?

Ok, I am now confessing. I do not want to marry a Filipino here because I do not like anything that's small: small bank account, small house, small kids and small "baseball bat". Everyone happy now?

Happy New Year!

Here are some older threads from the Philippines forum related to this topic. Has this topic been beaten to death in the Philippines forum more than in other forums? A quick search tells me the answer is no. I found the most "age gap" related threads in the Middle East and North Africa forum. My unscientific search results are listed below. Obviously there are many variables to consider when looking at these results. Many users prefer to post in other forums rather than regional. The number of posts in each topic vary widely, etc.

Middle East and North Africa: about 12 results out of 589 pages

Philippines: about 9 results out of 951 pages

Africa: Sub-Saharan: about 5 results out of 161 pages

Russia, Ukraine and Belarus: about 3 results out of 160 pages

I dunno, I think that if the sexual wow isn't there, at least in the beginning, it isn't love, it is romantic friendship. Nothing wrong with that either, but I wouldn't call it "real love"

There's ignorance for you, and also the reason a lot of young Filipinas prefer older men. It's odd to see such childishness in someone presumably of majority age. Because there aren't many this infantile, even in their teens. I never thought twice about age difference at any time of my life. It just never occurred to me as relevant.

Other than ad hominem attacks, do you have a point to share?

Ironic and hypocritical given that all you have done is level childish ad-homs. You are obviously a bigot, and admit to it, so that is not an ad hominem logical fallacy. It's what you are - a bigot about age differences.

You are also ignorant, demonstrated above. So the question is actually most appropriate to yourself. Pity your poor spouse. If you act this way on a public forum I can't imagine what she has to put up with.

Hey Peter_Pan, your thoughts are offensive to me as I am older than my fiance, I am 51 and she's 27....I do not have a saggy butt, however I do take care of myself and train at a gym. I've seen many guys quite a bit older than me walking around in the shower and their buttocks are sublime, haha...I've also seen big fat #### younger guys, who's asses look like 50lbs of chewed bubblegum, so what?

I am not beyond some assistance from Dr. Levitra, however, again, I know plenty of guys half my age who also partake when they feel the need.

I think the point is your opinion is just that, your opinion, it means jack to me....Rlogan gave you some logic you could not come back at....I can feel a bit of jealousy in your posts, why hate, let people live their lives and mind your own 'bidnezz'.....

:P

To those who filed k-1, what is the average age difference of a fiance to a fiancee? Is it a matter of desperation for such young girls to marry old guys? Is it for love or money?

I don't know the averqe but I am 75 and filed for a K3 in July. My spouse was turned down for K1,,,,,i don't know why. My wife to be will turn 31 this December 30th. Never been married and no children. Why she loves me is primrily a cultural thing rather than a gold-digger one. I was married to my first wife for 50 years before she had a heart attack so I am not in it for the sexual aspect or a marriage. Age is golden in the Philippines.
