My gut feeling is that they may send it back due to incorrect fee?

I'm really not sure. But I wouldn't want to give the government

one more penny than absolutely required

they reject any wrong fee payment, does not matter if it is money order or check.

YMMV

If it was the Philippine government, they would collect it and charge you customs tax on the purchase.

(Before you send hate mail, I just paid a $ 65.00 customs tax on a $ 85.00 valued item so I have reason to rant ! ) :crying:

If they do sent it back to you ... you should be able to go to your bank and sign it (if they haven't stamped it with anything) by writing... NOT USED FOR INTENDED PURPOSES and sign your name and deposit in your bank.

Sometimes you have to do something different with western union etc.. but just read the fine print... I was able to do that recently with a money order i sent for something and then it was sent back unused.

good luck to fix a money order.

I pray the USCitizen can be trained up a bit, read the instructions again.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

No. They will return it and ask you to send the correct amount.

Before you do, read the instructions again as I suspect that would not be the only mistake. Correct the mistakes, add the documents you need and then use a personal check which is far more easily tracked, written for the CORRECT amount

It is not the PI government.
