I think having Canada rather than Russia as your beneficiary's country rather helped with that.

My beneficiary is from Canada and we are past the 4 month mark, so don't be so sure that the country makes that much of a difference in all cases. Our case is 100% straight forward, but we've been dropped down the rabbit hole.

Anyway, I'm interested to see how contacting USCIS goes for you and how you manage it. I'll be calling in a few more weeks.

Hi all.. I sent our I 130 in September of last year. My husband had his interview May 13th of this year. The embassy sent the paperwork back to USCIS on June 29th for further review. I was told by USCIS that we would hear something within 150 days of June 29th. I called this past Friday because the 150th day would be today. I was told by the officer that she would request an update for our case and that we should get a response within 15 days. The officer that I spoke with also told me that this process should have only taken 120 days from the June 29th date. I have spoken with another person that is here in the states and her husband is in Jamaica just like mine. He had his interview 3 weeks after my husband did and they did the same thing to them. Her paperwork was sent back to the states for further review. As of right now her paperwork was received by USCIS 1 week after mine and she hasn't heard anything either. Can anyone offer any information to this? Thanks...

I just spoke with USCIS, they said that their system shows that CSC is working on I-130's with an NOA1 date of June 16, and that once they are processing petitions from my NOA1 date (June 27) then they can submit a letter of inquiry. Asked me to call back in a week or so.

They have been telling my husband June 16 for the last 18 days. I got my NOA2 on 10 November (22 June file date), 2 of my children got RFE on 24 November and the third hasn't even been acknowledged. Everytime he calls they tell him, to wait 6 days and they are still processing June 16! I just don't understand how they can split a families application up and it end up being so far apart.

Don't know what it shows here, but just verbatim what the customer service person told me. First I asked if there was some status I could get, as their own guideline of 5 mos has been exceeded. He said yes, I could submit an inquiry. When he went into the system to do that (he says), it shows him that CSC is now "working on" I-130s from 6/16. I don't know exactly what the def of "working on" is. Then he says that it won't let him submit an inquiry until after "my" NOA1 date of 6/27. And suggested I call back in a week or two. So it sounds to me like CSC is backed up right now.

That much has been obvious for a bit. All one has to do is look at the extremely rapid approvals coming out of VSC to know that CSC is disproportionally backed up. Lucky us, no? :D

I waited 5 months and 2 weeks.. I called my congressman and played the race card... I was tired of seeing other countries approved in a short amount of time.. The Caucasus countries for some reason were not being approved in a timely fashion.. I collected stats on countries that were approved NOA2.. And comapre them with Russia, Ukraine, Georgia ETC... and our countries had 1 approval within a 5 month time period..

When my congressmen's assistant was shown these facts she said she would call USCIS.. I was approved later that afternoon.. I am not saying this will work for you but it doesn't hurt to have someone with a little power to aide you in your ordeals.........

I just spoke with USCIS, they said that their system shows that CSC is working on I-130's with an NOA1 date of June 16, and that once they are processing petitions from my NOA1 date (June 27) then they can submit a letter of inquiry. Asked me to call back in a week or so.

Can u tell me how to reach the live representative on the phone? I call the toll-free number provided on their website but I just heard some general info and its automatic. I cant hear any option of speaking to live representative. My NOA1 is on June 8. Thanks a lot for your help.
