Fences are a great thing, but they won't work. Why? Because we do NOTHING about the 20+ million illegal immigrants that are already here!

How the hell did it ever get to the point where 20 MILLION people have snuck across our borders, or overstayed visas and we turn a blind eye to this?

These people know we will care for them medically, educate their illegal immigrant kids, issue them driver licenses or state ID's to cash their food stamps, etc... Then on top of that, children born here by their illegal parents are considered to be CITIZENS?

Until the government stops this ridiculous treatment of CRIMINALS the problem will continue to grow. Enforcement needs to begin at the TOP of government and trickle downwards. No more health care. No illegal immigrant children allowed to attend schools. No more state issued ID's. Employers who are caught hiring even 1 illegal immigrant lose their business license for an indefinite period of time. Illegals stopped by law enforcement for ANY crime - including jay walking are deported within 24 hours, etc...

When illegals see that the free lunch is over they will not want to be here so badly and there will not be a need for fences. CBP can then concentrate on keeping terriorists out of the USA.

Build a fence along the border of the entire Southern part of the USA? Nope - just make it so difficult that we start to see them crossing the Rio Grande SOUTHBOUND...
