Just to make sure I understand correctly, since my husband and I live in Texas, we need to send his AOS application to Chicago NOT to our local office---

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

P.O. Box 805887

Chicago, IL 60680-4120

Right??

And then we might (or might not) have to do an interview at our local office before having the GC approved?? I am unclear on this since it seems like a lot of people are getting their GC approved by the CA service center without having an interview....

Also-- any thoughts on whether or not it is worth using a lawyer for all of this?? We didn't for our K-3, but should we now?

THanks!!

-Carolyn
