How Long Doees It Take To Get Out Of AP For JAMAICA!

Hello,

:help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: So its been 19+ day's since my fiance got approved(Thank you god!).Still no VISA. We've called and emailed everyone. DHL, DOS, Embassy and emailed embassy too.Dhl say's there is a error with their system for printing visa's. Embassy of course we all know cant get anyone to answer but I STILL TRIED. When I called the DOS they tell me its in Admin Processing. What exactly are they doing? I hear it something to do with name checks? Why now? Why not before. I'm afraid something happened cause this is longer than most people had to wait. I know everyone's visa is processed differently but just wondering. I've emailed each link for the embassy at least 10+ times in the past few weeks. I finally got an email from them today that read:

Hi,

We are awaiting the clearance in order to have his visa printed.

Regards.

That's all it said. CLEARANCE for what? I thought after the visa is approved all they had to do was put papers in a envelope and print the visa and that's it... LOL :bonk: I'm really depressed lately alot of stuff is going wrong for me (personal wise).

ANYWAYS.

Could someone explain exactly what the whole ADMINISTRATION PROCESSING is. :innocent: Hopefully I'll get some answer's that will make me understand better.

it may be security clearance meaning name checks...sometimes they need the fingerprints at the time they got them at interview before they can do the other part of checks... etc.. no telling.. nobody can tell you how long it will take but it probably wont be but a few more weeks.. good luck

Administrative processing is a nice way of saying checking the beneficiary information and sometimes the petitioner... they run name checks, finger print checks, background checks and sometimes do field investigations, check validity of documents you submitted.. its a catchall term to check everything or just a few things on those applying for visas

When they take the fingerprints at interview thats when they can BEGIN checking fingerprints.. .it doesnt happen right away it takes time... they have to que him into the system and wait for the report to come back...him and thousands of others at the same time.

Because they only received his finger prints at the interview.

Oh I thought that's what the whole Police Record part was.. GRR I just hope they dont like take the approval back or something lol..

They won't take the approval back unless something totally unexpected appears during the final name clear process. Your non-USC fiance has already had some background clearance performed when you were at the USCIS stage and additional data bases were checked at the NVC stage...

I wish your fiance a speedy process through the AP!!! Happy Thanksgiving.

Finger prints and Police Record are two different things. The finger print is ran through the FBI WorldWide data base, and the Police Record is only local.
