We need a bit of experienced advice. We got married after 4 years of dating in July this year. We filed the i-130 which they recieved 23rd August. Today i checked the USCIs London embassy website and it says as at the 23rd November they are checking i-130's recieved 1st September. Does this mean i will now be receiving a NOA2? What is the next step. My Husband is the the USAF and due to leave England to go to his next base in January.

Any advice will be very much appreciated! :)

Hi - in order to give a more focused answer,

can you tell us which address (or country) the I-130 was filed TO?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

***** Moving from CR-1 to DCF forum as OP filed DCF (Direct consular filing= directly with the embassy). *****

You won't really get a NOA 2, as DCF filing is a bit different, and each embassy has its own way of doing things. Hopefully some UK DCFers can come along and tell you more.

We filed DCF in London and we have just approved for the visa!

If you say that the London Embassy website now says they are processing petitions received on the 1st of September my guess is that you will be getting your letter in the post any day now! :)

After you receive the NOA2 letter stating that you have been approved, 2 - 3 weeks later you will then receive a second letter from the Embassy instructing you on the next step of the process.

If you need any other help let me know :)

Returned home from work yesterday and i had the confirmation letter saying we should recieve the 'Next step' in 2-3 weeks!!!!

As i mentioned before, because my husband is military and due to leave England in January, is there any chance of my application being completed quicker due to the circumstances??

Congratulations Mrs GH!! :)

Congratulations Mrs GH!! :)

Get your ACRO police certificate (£35) and then once you get your LND number you will be able to schedule your medical exam. Once you've done the medical exam they will forward the results onto the Embassy with in 4 days. Once the Embassy has your DS-230 Part I and your DS-2001 and your medical results they will schedule your interview appointment. Unfortunately, I don't know much about the 'expedite process' only that it can be an option. Hopefully someone else will be able to explain that to you if it is feasible.

Many thanks for the congrats :) and best of luck to you!

I am ahead on the ACRO, I even paid for two copies, you never know what you may need it for!!

What is a LND number?

Can I download a DS 230 and DS 2001 to fill in and be more prepared?

I guess all i can do is wait the 2-3 weeks for them to notify me of the next step!

What is the medical like?

Thank you for your help. I feel a lot more confident that we are following the correct procedure.
