Actually, your situations are normal.

When new members sign on to Visa Journey, there are a number of 'restrictions' placed upon their accounts until they make their first post in the forums. One of these is a limitation on the number of PMs they can make and another is the inability to add or see friends on an account. Once you post, those abilities are activated and you will be able to add and see your friends, as well as send PMs. It is set up this way as a means to help force spammers who are trying to act 'below the radar' out in the public where we can deal with them more effectively. Hope that explains things :) - if you haven't made a public post yet, do so, and you will get full membership benefits

the above from another thread in this forum - see if you can do so now as there was a system upgrade in the recent past and your account may have been mismarked.

you might also check and see if you have the pm system disabled.

I checked and somehow you had your PM box disabled (you can control that setting in the User Control Panel). I re-enabled it for you!
