Hey all,

I am getting ready for my AOS interview on Dec.20. It says to bring birth certificates of all children, does that include adult children? My husband's boys are all over 21. Any help would be appreciated!

No, birth certificates for the adult children of the USC are not needed.

I am thinking that possibly refers to children you have had between the two of you. I think that if you have had children since you arrived here that would be reasonable evidence, but if not it isn't something you would show. Does the letter they sent with the appointment seem like a generic list of things?

I did AOS a while back, I was not interviewed at that stage. I also have adult children, but they did not immigrate with me, they are both over 30. My husband, the USC, has an adult daughter as well. We certainly didn't include their birth certificates with our package.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I didn't think we would need them but wanted to make sure. Thanks for the help! I will be so glad to be done with all this nonsense for a couple years!

It sure is a relief when it's all sorted
