Well, my wife and I just applied for adjustment of status on Friday the 18th of this month. We completed and gathered all the evidence competently and carefully as described in the instructions for all the forms and with help from this forum. We sent an E-1145 along with it, as it stands right now I have no idea where in the mailing system our packet is. Or how long upon receiving our packet it takes for the E-1145 confirmation to be sent. Also how long should I leave it before I start to panic? And is there anything I can do when it gets to that point?

I just don't know what happens next.

No need to panic. Did you send it FedEx or regular mail? It takes a little time and also note that some people never receive a text or an email even though they completed the E-1145. It's just the way of the system sometimes. Just sit back and relax, and enjoy your holiday tomorrow. There's nothing at all to worry about. They'll receive it, do what they need to do, then you'll receive your NOA1 and then an appointment letter for the Biometrics appointment. Just enjoy your life....everything will be fine. Good luck and God Bless.

You sent it FOUR days ago. You'll get a text with your receipt numbers anywhere up to 2 weeks after they receive it. It can sometimes take a month to get the physical NOA1's and biometrics.

p.s. It's G-1145.

Thanks for the responses must have called it 'E' because I've seen it described as an E-notification, anyway yea, 4 days ago not a long time but it's easy for some people to get worried about this sort of thing.

You've got a few month wait ahead of you (that's how long the process will take). 4 days is way too early to start worrying. ;)
