Vancouver Fiance Visa - can USc attend?

Hello,

If you attended your interview in Vancouver, were USC fiances permitted to attend for the K-1 interview?

I've read that they are allowed to, but my fiance asked the K department, and we couldn't understand if their response meant "yes" or "no." So now I am worried.

Please advise.

(If I can't attend, should I just send my passport with him? I already traveled to Vancouver for this, so I guess I can send my passport with him as proof that I'm here, if I am not allowed to attend? Any other suggestions? ...)

sometimes your not allowed into the interview room but you are allowed into the consul and up to the waiting area and stuff.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

My fiance didn't come with me, but I did see someone's fiance waiting while she was being interviewed.

Besides if they don't let you in there's a starbucks coffee right inside the same building so you could wait there.

If the Vancouver consukate is like the Montreal consulate the USC will need to bring their passport to be allowed inside. However they still might not allow you inside. If that's the case you can just wait outside and celebrate once you fiance gets out of the interview :)

Updating this thread for future K-1ers...

I was allowed in line, into the Vancouver consulate, up to the waiting room, and at the administrative paperwork windows, without a question or mention.

When my fiance was called to the officer's window, I went with him and peeked in for credit. The officer kindly advised me that he wouldn't have any questions for me, and that I may return to the waiting areas until they were through. The interview took 5-10 minutes.
