N-400 and 5 year trips outside US

I will be applying for US Citizenship on Dec 2011. I am elegible after 3 years of becoming permanent US Resident through my wife who is US Citizen. On the form N400 they ask about trips for past 5 years. But before I became US Resident I lived in another country and traveled a lot. Do I need to put every single trip I did eventhough I was not a US Permanet Resident by that time ? or should I put just the past 3 years of trips ?

All questions referring to 5 years will only be 3 years for you...

N-400 Naturalization Timeline

06/28/11 .. Mailed N-400 package via Priority mail with delivery confirmation

06/30/11 .. Package Delivered to Dallas Lockbox

07/06/11 .. Received e-mail notification of application acceptance

07/06/11 .. Check cashed

07/08/11 .. Received NOA letter

07/29/11 .. Received text/e-mail for biometrics notice

08/03/11 .. Received Biometrics letter - scheduled for 8/24/11

08/04/11 .. Walk-in finger prints done.

08/08/11 .. Received text/e-mail: Placed in line for interview scheduling

09/12/11 .. Received Yellow letter dated 9/7/11

09/13/11 .. Received text/e-mail: Interview scheduled

09/16/11 .. Received interview letter

10/19/11 .. Interview - PASSED

I see you are in houston. I am applying to Houston too. I see that your timeline was only about 4 and a half months. How long from your oath did you get your passport ?? I will apply on 12/28/11 but have a trip scheduled on 5/30/11. Do you think I will make it?

If you are traveling within 2 weeks of your oath, then you can go to Houston downtown State Office and get your passport processed the same day. You must make an appointment and you must present travel plans - which I think an airplane ticket will be enough. However, you can always mail it and indicate that you are traveling soon and they should process your application faster...
