Greetings all,

My US citizen wife is about to fax some documents related to the expedite request she made to USCIS . Here is the situation and plz tell me if you find it strong enough to get expedite approved:

1- My wife is currently pregnant of one month and she keep being sick due to the pregnancy. Somedays she call out which is not good for her as she may got fired which would make the situation worse.

2- Her monthly bills represent 80% or 85% of her pay check which made a not comfortable to take care of some other stuffs every month. Her car currently has a mechanic problem which is 500 dollars, she can not have it fixed. this problem been for 2 months.

3- She has a child who is 6 years old now and that she is taking care of. Bills are killing her and in the next months, she will not be able to go to work. If i am not here to help her with bills and stuffs she may lose the house.

From that, what do you think? we are going to send her pay check, the house monthly bills, her child birth certificate to prove that the kid is really hers. what else you think we can provide? your advices would be appreciated. Thanks a lot guys!

Pregnancy and related bills are not a reason to expedite. That being said, an expedite if denied usually has no negative impact on the petition (sometimes it delays it a bit as the case is pulled to determine the expedite, then put back in the queue later down the list), so it may be worth a try, especially if you can prove that you have very good employment prospects in the USA, ie can help with the bills, and that her sickness is over and above normal morning sickness. Provide doctors letters for that.

Two things you also need to send: some kind of medical note or records saying she's been sick due to pregnancy and if she continues to be by herself, it can harm her chance of keeping her job. You're also going to need proof that her car is damaged and that it would cost $500 to fix. Get a quote from a mechanic detailing the problem with the car and how much it would cost to fix.

Good luck on your expedite.

Thank you Penguin, but what would be " financial loss" stand for if it was not a lack of money, financial hardhsip? if she was not having p[roblems taking care of those bills which prevent gher from taking care of her ownself, i would not request for an expedite? Bills include money as well, financial terms

NVC won't even see this letter as you're sending your expedite to USCIS.

The pregnancy is what would be considered "self inflicted" (horrible term). With financial hardship, they usually mean something huge, not a $500 bill. I realise $500 is a lot to you, but it is not to them, especially considering that even with an expedite, the case would still take several months to complete. By that time, if it is a normal pregnancy, she'll be over morning sickness and can work normally.

Ok but i thought they could liaise with each other to investigate....I wife requested the expedite and we receive an email from USCIS november 14th related to that request. Isn t it gonna be too late if we send the papers at the end of this week or next week, just to have time to get the 2 papers you suggest me to include in the documentation?

1-SHe can also show that she has no money on her bank account. The 500 dollars was just to show how worse is the situation.

2- The case could take like 5 or 6 months with the expedite, and the normal process time to be completed is 9 months. with the difference of 3 or 4 months a lot can be done if i am there from my side. In Haiti i am working as an analyst in a call center, and my company is knowen worldwide. It would not be a problem for me to get similar job in the US when i come. i do not think that will take long

Like I say, worth a try but don't bet on it.

You will need to expedite at each level separately- USCIS, then NVC, then embassy.

You reasons for expediate are weak like others have said. Many woman suffer from mornng sickness and it will go away by mid pregnancy. The job outlook for a call center employee isn't the best so you many be a further burden not a help. If they pull the fle and don't expediate you actually slow the petition down by the review time. You are probably best just letting it go through the regular process.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

The main reason we want the expedite is not for the pregnancy but for financial hardship, we were just going to add her current physical situation as secondary information. Can any body please tell me when is a cases considered as strong financial loss? i am really lost about this expedite thing. If i have a wife in the US that barely can afford bills and all her money are spent in taking care of bills, isn't my support urgent? Now what if she lost her job, we never know anything could happen for she is calling sick too often now.
