I am confused about the Packet 3 to send with DS-230.

Is this the GUZ IV I-130 Supplemental Packet 3 on the NVC EP page which is 1 page OR the IV Instruction Packet (“Packet 3”) on the Guangzhou consulate's website http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/forms_and_packets.htm with OF-169?

I am optin EP at Guangzhou.

I am waiting for GZO to send i-864 and working on the DS-230 packet now.

My DS-230 packet:

1. DS-230 Part 1 signed and DS-230 Part 2 NOT signed

2. Cover letter from IV receipt page (from payment portal)

3. Scan of Applicant's Passport (Biographic Data Page).

4. Scan of Applicant's Birth Certificate.

5. Scan of Certificate of Marriage

6. Scan of Applicant's Police Certificate.

7. Scan of 2 passport photos in 300 dpi of beneficiary (write NVC case #, name and D.O.B written on back of both for interview).

8. Packet 3 supplemental ???

Extras

9. 20 photos taken since i-130 submission (4 to a page; 2nd trip).

10. Google voice phone call logs since i-130 submission.

11. IM logs with showing time for webcam since i-130 submission.

12. Petitioner airline ticket stubs since i-130 submission.

13. new Evolution of Relationship letter (I have seen people suggesting not to send this?)

Am I missing anything? Thanks!

Try this site and key in GZO for Guangzhou, it is an ugly form that you need to print out and your wife should complete handwritten in both English and Chinese.

GUZ IV Packet 3 Supplemental is available for download via a link on the NVC EP Wiki Page.

Dan's got the gist of it - hit that page, select GZO, review the extra documents required for yer consulate. I simply pasted in the link for the download link on the NVC EP Wiki Page.

But here it is, again...

Review http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing when you have a moment and note:

--For your casetype(CR-1/IR-1 visa), your processing type (NVC Intake) Packet 3 processing occurs at NVC, so anything you see about packet 3 from the GUZ IV website, doesn't apply to you. It's not really called Packet 3 processing at NVC, but it is sorta functionally equivalent when compared to DCF'd I-130 and subsequent Consular Intake of the forms collection (DS-230, I-864) into GUZ IV. Yer not sending stuff to GUZ IV, yer sending stuff to NVC. Heck, even the timeline here at VJ refers to it as Packet 3 (ug).

--OF-169 is not required for NVC Processing, at all. It's a form used for K-1 and DCF'd Petitions, during the Packet 3 processing stage.

--GUZ IV Packet 3 Supplemental is an ugly form, usually hand filled with a pen. You can email it to her, she prints it out, fills it out by hand, scans in to pdf document, emails back to you.

Mike,

The purpose of that form is to obtain the needed Chinese characters. If you have access to a full version Adobe Acrobat, you can create fields on the form and type all the information asked for in Chinese.
