i work in a PI office. I get people so pissed off and harrassing when my boss doesn't return his calls. I mean, there is only so much I can do!

I cringe sometimes when the phone rings... either it's a lawyer wanting to know status of a case (of which the norm is that my process servers have not given me status on) or wanting to talk to the boss, who doesn't keep office hours.... it's frustrating

I've dealt with a lot of ####### during my employment years too....

Ive also done the food service thing, my dad owned a restaurant and was kinda forced into working there as a hostess during high school.....you wouldn't believe the things people say to you when they are overcharged by *********$.10******************* ???

I have also done the retail thing, worked in a couple of jewelry stores. People in that situation just didnt understand why we couldnt refund them cash when they paid for the item in cash......we didnt exactly have a couple a grand lying around the store, we kept $200 in the register, tops, and we couldnt have any less than $200, so if there wasnt any extra money in there, we couldnt refund anything cash.

why cant we all just get along??? why we just have stress free environments to work in? why cant this day, no, this week be over yet?? im tired.............

I aint cool enough for a signature.....

I am an ASSISTANT in an immigraiton law firm. All I do is answer the phones, take messages, and type up documents. Im not, i repeat, not a lawyer. When my boss is not here, or with a client, or just plain busy, i take a message and give it to him. NOW, it is not my fault that sometimes he does not return calls. I leave him his messages every day.....every damn day.....yet, when people call, they feel the need to take it all out on ME. 'ive been trying to get a hold of him for weeks now, blah, blah, blah!' well, what the #### am i supposed to do about it??????????

Last week, my boss was in court. I had a guy come into the office, without an appointment, demanding to see him. what, like im hiding him under my desk?? hes not here, deal with it. Your the one that came in without an appointment, why are you taking out the fact that he's not here on me. and this guy tried claiming that he's called for the past two weeks! that was BS, i went and looked through my messages and his name was nowhere in sight. BS.....Ive also gotten people refuse to hang up and wait for him to call them, 'no, i will wait on the line...' ' ummmm, cant let you do that, hes not here, wont be back for an hour, your not waiting on hold for an hour.'

All i do is repeat myself all day long. 'im sorry but he is not in the office at the moment, i can take a message' 'but i already left a message yesterday and the day before, ' ' SIR, he's not in the office at the moment, all i can do is take a message and give it to him when he returns.......' thats what i do all day long! and believe me, no one speaks to me in a nice tone whatsoever, its always in a rude and very unnesessary mannor. In every other respect i absolutely love my job, but i just cant handle these people anymore!

So the moral of this story, please be curteous to others!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the same with my job.. I work for an airline people treat us like POOP. when I was a ticket agent I was abused alot not only verbally but, one lady tossed her roller bag at me when I was Pregante. thats how mean some people are.. denied boarding for her punk a$$$.

I totally hear you! Before I moved here I worked in a London law firm as a receptionist and it was totally the same there! These lawyers are not the best people to return calls and its you that gets the flack for it! And what is it about people not wanting to leave a voicemail! It did my head in trying to explain that they will get their message alot quicker if they leave a voicemail!

I'm having a little laugh over here, thinking about some of the stories I read here of how ppl talk about their immigration attorneys.. or even funnier, the way people here talk about the USCIS 1-800#..... does the call for kindness extend that far?

I am definitely polite when I call USCIS. No way am I taking the chance that someone could sabotage my case. Do you have any idea how easy it is to delete information? Lose a file? Accidentally on purpose.
