Hi everyone!

I'm so excited because my husband has an interview date for his K-3 visa on Oct. 5th! My question is how long after the interview do you get the visa in hand? I am with him in Venezuela right now, but we have to travel quite a distance to get to the embassy and I'd like to know so that we can at least estimate how long we'll have to stay in Caracas and when we might be flying out. Any chance that we could get it the same day or the next?

Awesome news, Jtobster!!! Here's what I found for the Embassy in Venezuela regarding when you should expect to get the visa:

Visa issued same day? No

If not whats the waiting period? 1 day then pick up at central Domesa office in Caracas

I'll be waiting to hear all about your interview experience. Keep us posted, ok? (L)

Hey a big Congratulations from all of us! :jest::jest::jest:

The time that it takes to get the Visa after the interview depends on the Embassy, some give the Visa immediately, others like the Embassy in Manila send it by courier in 7-10 days.

Hope that you are both home soon and can begin your new life together.

Thanks everyone!! We were cutting it very very close here because my Venezuelan visa expires the 9th and I can't get it renewed, so lets hope that my husband gets his visa the next day so we can fly out together!!

Thanks for the support I've received from this forum. Everyone has been phenomenal! We will post our interview experience once we're in the states!!
