Due to the current demonstrations in Cairo... I'm wondering if the Embassy has closed.

i tried looking for it on their website.. if anyone knows please let me know.. thanx

No. I just posted a thread about it. They re-scheduled our interview to Sunday. I've called several times and they're still open. God willing, this will be over soon.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

The embassy posted a message on their website stating they are letting employees go home early today due to a large gathering in Tahrir Square.

I called the number for us citizens and I was told that the embassy in Cairo is currently open and as of now it will continue its normal operation. Also, its good to check the state.gov website for any travel warrning and embassy updates.

I did too. They're open. I leave Friday night arriving Saturday.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.
