K1 Fiance Visa US to Canadian

I am a girl that lives in California US Citizen and fell in love with him, who is in Canada. He is not a Canadian Citizen he is a Permanent resident and he comes from Pakistan. I have gathered everything for the K1 visa and will be mailing it this week. My question is he has lived in canada for 15 years but never became a citizen and did apply but was unable to get a citizenship because he had a case pending. He was guilty of obstruction of justice. Will this affect the approval process? he did not commit any major horrible crime but the obstruction of justice is what he was found. Also he cannot cross the border since he was not a citizen of Canada so I visit him 2 times a year at the least, we have been together for 8 years and finally decided we want to marry and start our lives as husband and wife. Please if anyone can shed some light it would be great.

11-25-2011 - NOA1 - Applied for K-1 Fiancee Visa for my Canadian love living in Vancouver from Pakistan, sent package to California
04-23-2012 - NOA2 - Application Approved, waiting for interview date.
07-23-2012 - NOA3 - Email from Vancouver consulate that we are receiving letter to send packet 3.
07-23-2012 - NOA3 - Packet 3 - Letter received to submit DS-230 and Checklist to get a interview scheduled.
12-07-2012 - Interview - Received white paper requesting more documents.

04-10-2013 - Sent additional documents via Loomis for Van Consulate.

05-10-2013 - Email stating passport is at Loomis for pick up.

05-13-2013 - Passport returned requesting 1. Police Reports which we have previously submitted 2 times and also stated 2. Administrative Processing.

08-29-2013 - Received letter stating Visa Denied due to Moral Turpitude, Also note that we can apply for wavier I-601

12-31-2013 - Receipt date for I-601 Waiver - Waiting for results.

07-10-2014 - Interview, Visa Approved, Administrative Processing.... waiting....

8-1-2014 - Visa Issued

11-18-2014- flight booked for Fiance

1-2015 -Married, Registered for SSN, Registered for AOS, Work Permit and Advance Parole

10-2015 - AOS interview, approved.

Approximately 4 year journey to get everything done.

 

8-2017- Filed for Green Card - USCIS I-751 Petition (Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status )

 

Waiting to hear back on getting a Green Card....

8/4/2021: N-400 received

8/6/2021:  Biometrics to be reused
3/15/2022:  Interview (successful)

Only reason they would not be able to would be from criminal records in Canada/USA.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

You should not have a problem applying for K1 petition. just make sure that by his interview for the visa, he has all his docs in place proving all the above past circumstances have since been resolved, passed, cleared, whatever. you could as early as now check the docs he will need to have by that time. =)

His Country of Citizenship matters to cross the border, if his country requires a visa then as a Canadian permanent resident he would require the same visa

Thanks guys, I am sending it out today, I hope it will be smooth and please pray for it to be quick. I have struggled alot but hopefully this will end the struggle.

11-25-2011 - NOA1 - Applied for K-1 Fiancee Visa for my Canadian love living in Vancouver from Pakistan, sent package to California
04-23-2012 - NOA2 - Application Approved, waiting for interview date.
07-23-2012 - NOA3 - Email from Vancouver consulate that we are receiving letter to send packet 3.
07-23-2012 - NOA3 - Packet 3 - Letter received to submit DS-230 and Checklist to get a interview scheduled.
12-07-2012 - Interview - Received white paper requesting more documents.

04-10-2013 - Sent additional documents via Loomis for Van Consulate.

05-10-2013 - Email stating passport is at Loomis for pick up.

05-13-2013 - Passport returned requesting 1. Police Reports which we have previously submitted 2 times and also stated 2. Administrative Processing.

08-29-2013 - Received letter stating Visa Denied due to Moral Turpitude, Also note that we can apply for wavier I-601

A several years back I was seeing a Canadian PR who was still a Chinese Citizen. She crossed the border regularly using her Canadian PR Card.


Must have info for bringing your Philippine wife/fiancee's child to the US

Not sure when it change my guess would be after 9/11.

So I applied on November 25, 2011 and it is still in the Initial review, how much longer do you think it should take? also I applied in California. Hoping and counting the days. Please pray for me.
