We had our AOS interview yesterday (11/21) in Cincinnati Ohio. We got there around 12:00. Our interview was at 12:30 and we were called in around 1:00. The IO was polite, professional and nice. She started off by swearing us in and had us sign the document that we didnt have a lawyer with us. She went through the information on our 485 application. She then asked us to tell her how we met and when we decided to get married. She looked at our wedding pics and said it looked lovely. She also asked for proof of joint ownership, bills etc and made copies as necessary.

At the end, she said she was recommending us for approval and it would be around 35-45 days and something about a record check. She also explained the ROC procedure.

All in all, I think it went well. I am wondering though if i am stuck in some name check thing?? I will be a little more comfortable when I get a Card Production notification.

Anyone have a similar experience?

if she really said that, it could depend on a lot of things such as your country of origina and how updated their system is with your info. but from the sound of it, you're approved =)

I had interview in Cinci yesterday too (guy in a green shirt - was sitting on a front) - did get e-mail & text around 7pm yesterday saying status of I-485 changed to document production. At the interview was told will receive decision within ~3 weeks.

The interview went like that :

We were swore in, asked for my passport and my wife's ID, then asked bunch of questions (name, address, previous marriages), story how we met (work both in the same company for more than 10 years, my wife travelled to Poland in 2006 and I was coming to US dozens of times) all the usual stuff (did you try to overthrow a government).

We were asked about join property (my wife owns a house, I am not on the deed), any other joint bills (she assummed we do not have any and seemed not be a problem but we did have few), asked about how many cars my wife owns (three, one of which is mine and I am on the insurance) and then were told they will let us know what the decision is. Could tell most likely she planned to approve me but never said so, went through ROC/Citizenship though.

No documents were requested to be seen, neither any photos. As I said, text/e-mail came at 7pm. Status on the website changed too.

Guy in green shirt? I think we may spoken :) I was the "Indian-looking" woman in grey turtleneck...

I am hoping for good news soon..

In my case she said "I can't make a decision now, need go through you file page by page. If we need anything else, we will send you an RFE within two weeks, if no RFE shows up, expect green card up to 3-4 weeks after that. If you do not hear until February, schedule infopass".

But RFE seemed totally unlikely since she did not asked for absolutely any documents I brought with me (whole backpack of them).

Good luck ! I am sure you'll get approval shortly.
