has this thread turned into a total boring sleep-a-thon?
We need to return to the original topic, si man.

Last night, Mrs. T-B., while overenergetically cleaning (!!!?!) the stovetop, knocked a carafe of cooking-oil onto the floor. She spread around the spilled oil during the up-mopping process. I was favorably impressed at how shiny the floor was, si man.

In other news: At this writing, little Mini-Bone will be 1 year old in 1 week and slightly less than 12 hours, si man. He has Mrs. T-B.'s eyes, and my hairline and waistline, grunt man.

-------

ETA: The length of this thread now exceeds that of my previous longest -- several years ago when I commented about how I pried my I-129F loose from the CSC. A notorious nastyette tried to get the thread locked, as she has done many times, but failed. I was pleased that the thread died of its own accord, si man.

The notorious nastyette's have been hard at it in the RUB forum lately reporting post and getting them deleted. I keep waiting to read of their untimely demise but no such luck as of yet.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Thats it. Must be where the "harlot" reference comes from. THAT's a pie? No. It has all the characterics of cake. I would call it a "coffee cake" in equivilent English, although what the British call "pudding" is hardly the same as what we call pudding.

It's a pie :)

See, that's the difference, I don't understand why you call a "coffee cake" a CAKE. It has all the characteristics of a pie to me.

what kind of pie are you eating? Ever had what we call an apple pie?

Anyway, to settle this I asked Alla. She is always right, if you do not believe me you can ask her.

Alla, is it pie or cake?

"Neither"

What is it?

"Sharlotka"

There you have it!

It is too bad she can never run for President because she would be great in the debates.

But now the $60,000 question. This will determine whether she is a South American girl or a RUBette in disguise..."WHO is guilty for HER knocking over the oil?"

In Russia we call it a pie.

Yes, I had American apple pie + vanilla ice-cream. Totally messes up my 1200 calorie diet

She's as, uh, pure as the, uh, driven snow, sneeze man.

Grandma T-B. (who goes more psycho in Mini-Bone's presence than I've ever seen her) will take care of all gifts, si man... NO doubt, no man.

I'm thinking of one in particular who shows up every 2 to 3 weeks, posts some semi-helpful stuff but chiefly sticks daggers into people, then slithers back into her nest.

This probably qualifies her as neither; her reaction was "It spilled on only a few things" (meaning less than half of the floor + everything on it). "I have more oil." She did ask me for $60,000, however, so that must've been the $60,000 question, si man.

This is the proper attitude, gorge man. A Thanksgiving joke:

Big Sister: "Billy, if you eat one more piece of that pumpkin pie, you'll burst!"

Billy: "OK, Sis -- pass the pie and get out of the way!"

She doesn't, but I have. Unexpected company and everything goes straight to the dishwasher and frying pan in the oven. We usually keep on top of the dishes pretty good...that and there's only the two of us, but Iv'e done it a few times.

No, fortunately my MIL is in Siberia...like OUT in the wilds. Wood stove. Outhouse. Bears! Refuses to move to the city. Hardcore, old school Russian momma.

But concerning the dishwasher...my wife would fill the dishwasher in the craziest ways. No method or common sense involved...just stow it in until you can barely close the door. Sometimes it defied the laws of physics. Then I'd hear the familiar slapping and banging sounds as the poor dishwasher ran the cycle. I must say, when they passed out common sense, my wife must have been in the outhouse. Sheesh man.

Alla also. That may explain why she always calls me to "put in the chemical and start the machine" But first rearrange all the dishes.
