Questions about Packet 3, Interview Scheduling, Packet 4

Ok, I'm going to put my laundry list of questions in one post(please forgive ) 1. Do we send in a COLOR copy of the passport bio data page with packet 3? My fiancee was told it was illegal to make a color copy?? 2. After our Packet 3 has been logged, it is my understanding we can call DOS to see when packet 4 is sent out. I'm confused because some people say Packet 4 has your interview letter in it along with the medical info. If you schedule your interview as soon as you know packet 4 has been sent, how can it contain the interview time, etc? We are going through Montreal consulate, so any VJers that have gone through the process there, please help!!

Yes colour copy. No its not illegal.

Yes you can call DOS, P4 is emailed because you have to book your own interview appointment.

Why are you not posting/reading in the Canada section where all this has been answered before? There is also a pretty extensive guide on what to do at this stage in the process as well.

I sent a black and white copy it was no problem.

P4 was not emailed to me it was sent via post. But once you find out that P4 was sent you can go online and book your own appointment (unless this has changed since the Spring)

I went through montreal and also received my packet 4 in the mail. I did call DOS and find out it was being mailed though. It contains instructions on the medical but as soon as you know you are getting your packet 4 you can book your medical... I did at Dr. Seiden's without the actual appoinment date. When you get to the medical though, they want to see that MTL number, they don't really need to see the appointment date,
