Hi Vjers,

this is the first question I'm posting although I am a regular reader of the forums.

So, situation is as follows:

filed for AOS early September (based on my marriage to my USC husband), sent everything, including an extra I-864 (as we needed a joint sponsor) and an I-864A (joint sponsor's wife, just to be on the safe side).

We sent their tax returns, but not an employment letter, nor payslips.

Now, I got my interview notice and it lists sponsors' payslips for 2 months and employment letter (if not already submitted).

However, the joint sponsor recently switched jobs.

1,

Do I have to bring a brand new I-864 from him, listing his new employer, with all the tax returns (already submitted) and an employment letter from his new job+payslips from his new job?

2,

What about his wife's I-864A? Her job did not change, so I guess we do not have to redo hers?

3,

Are they going to frown upon this?

Thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it.

I don't think they'll frown on it. Things happen. #2 is the right way to go. Have them make a new 864 with their new employer info, bring the paystubs, employer letter and most recent tax return or tax transcript. I wouldn't have the wife re do hers. When the officer talks about new information that you have to present or IO's talking about the sponsor mention to them - our sponsor actually changed jobs and started the new one X date. Here is an updated I-864 with this additional supporting evidence. And that's it.

Hi I had my AOS interview yesterday and my husband who is my sponsor switched to another job a week ago. I was very worried about that yesterday since we file I-864 with the information from his previous employer. When we sent all the forms the first time we only sent a letter from his employer no payslips. So yesterday I brought the payslips from his previous employer and a letter from his new employer. We told the IO that he switched jobs a week ago and we didn´t have any payslips because he hasn´t been paid yet. She said don´t worry about that people change jobs all the time. She just updated the new employer in the I-485 with a pen and then thank us for bringing the letter from his new employer (i had a copy but she asked to keep the original).

I hope this helps.

I am adjusting from a B2
