The mechanism of evolution, in those States where it happens, is that on average, the organism that survives to replicate, has characteristics which fit it to its environment and allows it to replicate (including attractiveness to the opposite sex etc).

The more the successful individuals are able to replicate, the lesser are the unsuccessful as they are diluted by the successful and disappear

HOWEVER - look at 2011

Successful, educated, intelligent people have less than the 2.2 births per woman that are needed to even replace the parents. In fact it is less than 1.2 per woman in the west on average and most western countries are getting smaller in population

Slack jawed, moronic, drug taking, criminal idiots (and those from primitive religions) have a dozen children and therefore the percentage of children born of this group are increasing as a percentage of the total

If we accept the theory of evolution, then we have to face the unpalatable fact that the the factors which now dictate whether the humans will successfully reproduce, is their irresponsibility and lack of self control and self direction and chaotic life styles or their primitive beliefs. The offspring of this group are increasing as a percentage of the total.

In other words, human evolution is now running in reverse and favoring undesirable features

Our desirable features will not allow us to do anything about this, and so we must watch it unfurl over the next few thousand years while the seeds of our demise are sown.

Perhaps the proponents of death culture religions will so outbreed the others that atomic war will be a thinkable action, and therefore be the end of the line for humans. Perhaps the ignorant will refuse inoculations for their children because of primitive ideas, and that will reduce them and not the others. I wont be here to see it but there are many possible outcomes to what is happening now but the forward direction of evolution is stopped by the only measure which matters - the numbers and characteristics of the successfully breeding individuals in each category of society

I am off to the UK for a week next month and will be visiting a big council estate.

I know there will streets teeming with dirty little kids who's parents are in and out of jail/probation and the chemists shops have sacks for dirty needles. The parents of these kids mooch about all the day with pasty white faces from the heroin and most of the population have scars from fighting and drunken car crashes etc

Seeing as Grover isn't over there to impose the pledge, its likely the government will still feed this population who forget to use condoms and birth control pills and who breed and breed from the age of 13

If any of this behavior is genetic, those genes are being spread at an alarming rate. When I drive through the nice areas I see one or two kids sat at their computers with the dad's Jaguar on the drive

The family size difference is very apparent

I suppose the next step in these thoughts is - does the behavior of the underclass have a genetic component ?

Does the fact that Australia was founded as a penal colony mean there are more criminal tendencies in Australia that the land from which they were sent ?

The US was largely founded as a penal colony too, but we can ponder on that after

Are people from the school's remedial class more likely to be drug addicts/criminals because that's genetic, or do their lack of abilities lead them down a path of despair which causes then to live on drugs in dirty hovels without hope ?

We have already decided as a society that we are not going to act to decrease the numbers of genetically disadvantaged persons, largely as a reaction to the NAZIS. That's fine and right, but if being underclass is a genetic predisposition, we will have to helplessly watch the consequences unfold.

So the question is - is it genetic ? If it isn't then we have nothing to worry about. If it is, then evolution is now running in reverse and we could end up with Paris Hilton as Presidentesse

That's not a very christian idea and in any case it isn't working - even after the massive mass murders in the wars of the last century, the population has doubled to 7 billion

That wouldn't be so bad if the genetic component wasn't running in reverse as it may be in the first world

In the 3rd world, evolution is running forward as it should with only the true survivors making it through in the slums of Mumbai
